I haven't really started on my deep-cleaning yet. I'm waiting until closer to my due date so the house will be clean for delivery (I'm having a HB).
I'm working on freezer meals right now, but still have quite a bit to do.
There are some things I need to buy before my home visit in two weeks - new garden hose, another plastic liner for the floor, a new hose adapter for the sink, etc.
Need to fix the seatbelt in the car that is broken so we can put the fourth carseat in there.
Bring up baby gear from storage and sanitize it.
Make my emergency birth instructions for DH in case he needs to deliver and/or so he knows who to call to get over to the house ASAP.
make a couple returns/exchanges
Find pediatrician
tour daycare and register (we won't need this for a little while)
? Wash/dry baby clothes
? Finish unpacking/situating house
? Install car seat
? Clean/situate second bathroom
? Get car cleaned
? Pack hospital bag
? Call insurance about breast pump
? Post-shower shopping and set-up
? Get will drafted
? Vaccinations (flu and pertussis) for me and husband
? Dog's chiropractor appointment (I know that sounds absurd but after two herniated discs and two $5000 neurosurgeries, you would do it too)
? Dog's county registration
? Send shower thank you?s
? Freezer meals and grocery shopping
? Write birth plan
? Figure out who will care for dog when we are in hospital
And more to come I'm sure...
Install car seat
Clean swing, PNP, bouncy seat, a few pieces of clothes I forgot, newborn diapers, nursing covers & boppy covers
Move the crib & changing table from DS's room to the nursery
Pack hospital bag & DS's overnight bag (I think I'm going to do this today)
Sew & hang nursery curtains (there are blinds already, so this is just decorative not functional)
Buy double stroller, new bottle nipples, new light fixture, crib skirt & some organizing bins
Clean out the closet shelf & install an extra shelf
Thank God you posted this and your list seems as endless as mine!
I'm actually thinking I need to sit down tonight and start making my list for DH - he works best if he has a list! LOL. Plus it will give me a chance to see what I can do here and there - when I have 2 napping babies and a burst of energy. Crossing things off a to-do list is my stress reliever.
1) Make appointment to get new glasses/eye exam
2) Vacuum out car and wash it
3) Steam clean stuffed animals got at consignment sale
4) Paint nursery
5) Put up wall shelves after painting
6) Decorate Nursery
7) Pack/Buy things for hospital bag
8) Possibly budget in a pedicure
9) Find/Buy recovery medical items
10) Buy baby medicines and first aid/safety kit
11) Deep clean my room
12) Familiarize dogs with baby stuff
13) MAKE A BIRTH PLAN!
The only things I've managed to do is put together the crib, install car seat, get clothing, diaper bad, some diapers, and a PNP o__O
I'm so behind!
This week i'll probably get started on the hospital bag and post-partum supplies. Depending on how much time/money I have I might start to plan and make freezer meals too.
