What do you have left on your to-do list?

I thought it was nice to compare to do lists.  So let's hear it lady's what do you have left to-do before all the baby's get here! :)

Heres mine.

1. Organize/straiten up all the bed rooms.

2. Clean laundry room including my washer and dryer.

3. Deep clean bath rooms.

4 . Put crib up.

5. Put bounce seat together.

6. Catch up on laundry

7. Find a way to finish organizing baby clothes (buying some sort of storage system)

8.look at fabric and decide if I want to make the skirt, railing cover, sheets, curtains or if want to buy them.

9. Get DH to clean garage and organize so I can get my car in again since he refinished the dresser in there last weekend.

10. Get dh to clean my car :)

11. Put up decorations in baby's room and get last min things done.

12 . Paint and decorate ds #1 room ( I am thinking about waiting till after baby is here so the attention goes back on to him a little :). )

13. Clean back Mud room and office.

14. Go threw and deep clean all the toys again. (it hasn't been done since way before the move and sooo needs it! Although I did go threw tonight and organize them all and put them where they go again now it shouldn't be to hard to do a wipe them down now.)

 15. Install car seat (DH doesn't want to till last min).

16. Get stuff for my hospital bag at the store and pack it.

17. Keep up on all my house hold work (vac, sweeping, mopping and laundry so I don't feel over whelmed)

 18. Shave legs, do nails and go get family hair cuts.

19. Get list of ds schedule and where things are so grandma (if she is hear in time) can know what to do. / pack a bag just incase we have to drop him off at a friends house..

Ok that's all I can think of now. I'm sure there's plenty more that will pop up. 19 for now is good ;)

Now lets hear them :)

Re: What do you have left on your to-do list?

  • Well I'm generally pretty OCD about my housecleaning. I've been so slack lately because I'm just exhausted and sore. I am not going to list general housework because that is a constant thing.

1 have my shower next Friday and organize everything that follows.

    2 clean out my car

3 find a dog barrier for my car so thu can't jump onto her in her car seat.

4 pick up anything important that I don't get from my shower.

    5 get a breast pump.

6 wash all the baby clothes diapers

7 finish reading the book I started on healthy sleeping habits for the baby.

8 make 2 sets of curtains for the nursery.

9 make the mobile I bought all the supplies for.

10 find an apartment to stay in on the city.

    11 buy/install the dishwasher :

    12 install the car seat

13 make sure my mom is all set up for when we leave to go to the hospital.

    I think that's it...

  • I haven't really started on my deep-cleaning yet.  I'm waiting until closer to my due date so the house will be clean for delivery (I'm having a HB).

I'm working on freezer meals right now, but still have quite a bit to do.

There are some things I need to buy before my home visit in two weeks - new garden hose, another plastic liner for the floor, a new hose adapter for the sink, etc.

Need to fix the seatbelt in the car that is broken so we can put the fourth carseat in there.

Bring up baby gear from storage and sanitize it.

Make my emergency birth instructions for DH in case he needs to deliver and/or so he knows who to call to get over to the house ASAP.

  • I typed up my list of to-do's about a week ago (it is over a page longIndifferent) and have only checked off three things so far. The majority of my list revolves around cleaning the baby stuff I used for my boys and re-organizing the house to accommodate all the cleaned baby stuff. The plan is to do one or two smaller tasks every couple of days and get the big stuff done on the weekends that my DH is off.

  • So I've read all the previous lists and they are pretty much the same as mine, so there's no need to repost. I've just soooo achy and exhausted I'm waiting for my nesting to kick in with hopes I'll turn into a wonder woman of a molly maid!!!

  •  I didn't include house cleaning because honestly my DH is a clean freak so that's something that's always pretty much done. Plus we don't have any other children.

  • Thank God you posted this and your list seems as endless as mine!

I'm actually thinking I need to sit down tonight and start making my list for DH - he works best if he has a list!  LOL.  Plus it will give me a chance to see what I can do here and there - when I have 2 napping babies and a burst of energy.  Crossing things off a to-do list is my stress reliever.

  • 1) Make appointment to get new glasses/eye exam

    2) Vacuum out car and wash it

    3) Steam clean stuffed animals got at consignment sale

    4) Paint nursery

    5) Put up wall shelves after painting

    6) Decorate Nursery

    7) Pack/Buy things for hospital bag

    8) Possibly budget in a pedicure

    9) Find/Buy recovery medical items

    10) Buy baby medicines and first aid/safety kit

    11) Deep clean my room

    12) Familiarize dogs with baby stuff

    13) MAKE A BIRTH PLAN!

The only things I've managed to do is put together the crib, install car seat, get clothing, diaper bad, some diapers, and a PNP o__O
    I'm so behind!

    1. buy, paint, and install closet doors (husband's job)
    2. hire an electrician to fix our light switch in the nursery
    3. have DH put window insulation film on nursery windows (they are ancient and drafty)
    4. organize office
    5. wash and iron sheets/crib skirt (not in any rush since baby won't be sleeping in her crib for a couple of weeks)
    6. buy a breastpump
    7. sanitize bottles/nipples/pacifiers/toys
    8. pack hospital bags
    9. buy post-partum supplies (pads, colace, witch hazel, etc)
    10. plan and make freezer meals
    11. install car seat base
    12. purchase an additional car seat base and a frame stroller
    13. buy new underwear that are dark colored and come up a little higher for after the birth

This week i'll probably get started on the hospital bag and post-partum supplies. Depending on how much time/money I have I might start to plan and make freezer meals too.
