3rd Trimester

What items do you have at your "nursing station?"

With #1, we were in a tiny apt and I only had to walk a few yards to get to any one place for items. Now we're in a huge house, so I'm thinking that I'll keep some "mama baskets" in several areas. I'm thinking spare undies, pads, nursing pads, magazine/book, water, burp cloths, snacks, and lanolin. Am I forgetting anything?

  • Bottle of water? I remember I was sooo thursty when DD first started nursing, she'd latch and I'd be yelling to DH to get me a drink NOW.

  • In baby's room I kept a few tanks in her top drawer and an open front long cardi. I would wake up drenched in sweat the first few weeks. I'd need to change my top and toss on the sweater because I'd shiver.

  • Agreed on the water - I always got a surge of thirst!

  • Definitely water, handy/easy open snacks, nursing pads, magazines/books/phone charger

  • Keep an extra peri bottle in all of your bathrooms. After I had DS, I was always having DH fetch mine for me because I left it in a different bathroom.

  • I actually never set up anything. With #2 it was so much easier to latch baby and then get up and walk around if I needed anything. I think I generally had a burp cloth to try to catch leaks, my boppy, and a bottle of water.

  • I fed everywhere, the entire city was my nursing station. I fed at the dining room table while eating, too.

Just get a bottle of water and a cloth to wipe up baby.

Sorry I am such a dummy. I was on my phone when I wrote this and couldn't see the whole title. You don't need a peri bottle at your nursing station. :)
