Two Under 2

Did you experience this?

I am about 15 weeks along, and my babies will be 12.5 months apart.  My doc warned me that my body would have some aches and pains that I didn't have the first time around as did my aunt who just had two boys 14 months apart.

Did you ever feel a spring like pain in your sides?  It is painful but only lasts about 3 seconds and then is gone.  It usually happens when I roll over in bed or go from laying to sitting.  I plan on calling the Dr. tomorrow but its nice to know if I'm the only one or not.

Thanks!

Re: Did you experience this?

  • My kids are just under 14 months apart and yes, I had pains like that all the time. Still call your doc to confirm but I had pains in my sides and the "lightning crotch" was soooo much worse the second time. I also had some complications since DS broke my tailbone on his way out so my pains were probably somewhat different than what you will experience.

Best advice I can give is to call you doc for piece of mind and do some basic yoga stretches, it  doesn't solve the problem but it helps a little.

    Congrats and HH 9 mo.

  • My kids are 15 months apart. My body ached/hurt with the 2nd pregnancy so much worse. My body hadn't recovered from the 1st yet. It sucked. For me it just got worse. I did get a belly band to help hold up my belly and that sort of helped. It's a lot on a body to have 2 under 2. You name it and it hurt the 2nd time around at the end

  • Mine will be 11 months apart and I haven't noticed any pains other than if I spring up off the couch too quickly, which happened last time also.

  • My girls are 21 months apart and my round ligament pain was way worse the second time around.  It was right above both hip bones and on the underside of my belly.  I freaked DH out a few times when I doubled over in pain when I exerted myself too much.

Ditto this!  It was so much worse and I noticed it when rolling over in bed, especially.  It wasn't as bad with #3, but she is 2.5 years younger!
