I had some serious post partum depression/anxiety with DS, and I am considering placental encapsulation this time around. Any other ladies try this!?!?!
I'm not going to be much help because we did the entire process up until the part where you put it in the empty pills and then stopped. I just wanted to say that it seemed like an easy half a day process in our kitchen. There are quite a few doulas who offer this service as well.

I haven't done it personally (this is my first baby). But I am planning on doing it! I have a couple friends who have done it and only have good things to say about it. My husband and I talked about doing it ourselves but decided against it for several reasons. I don't want to worry about having another tasks the first day or two that baby is home. Seems like paying a doula to come over and do it for us will be much easier. There are quite a few in my town so it shouldn't be hard to make it work.
Yes! It was worth every penny. It helped with baby blues and my supply.
This. I did it and I really thought it helped. I could notice a difference in my mood on the days I did not take the pills. I have also never had any issues with my milk supply. I do not know for sure if it is because of the pills but Ill take it.
I'm a FTM, but I think I really want to get the placenta encapsulated. I don't have the desire to do it myself, but I'm hoping to find a MW or doula in our area who will do it.

Yes. We hired someone to do a raw/dehydrated preparation for us. She also offered steamed per TCM. I got my capsules back a few days later than optimal and when I started taking them, my mood really smoothed out from the ups and downs that were starting. I ended up with tons of energy, smooth moods, and good health!
I'm planning on it this time. One of my friends had twins and raved about supply and great help with her mood. I had ppd with my second and want to avoid thatif at all possible!

One of the midwives at the practice I'm with does it for an additional fee. She said that there are some women who get so energetic while taking it that they tell them that they have to ease up off of the pills so that they can sleep. That tells me they work for others. I wouldn't be doing it if they didn't do it for me though.
