I had my c/s 5/5/12 was due 5/9/12 and am due 12months later. 5/10/13 I want to vbac so I can handle my toddler and infant easier when DH is at work. Any experience or advice would be great
Like the PPs said it depends on your OB. Mine doesn't care about how much time there is between deliveries.

I delivered my second baby vaginally 12 months and 3 weeks after my c-section. I had the exact same reasons for wanting a vaginal birth.
The doctor made me get an epidural when I got to the hospital in labor. She was afraid my incision hadn't had time to heal properly, so if there was a problem, I had to be ready to go to surgery.
Everything progressed normally and I only pushed for 15 mins.
To be perfectly honest--the recovery from the vaginal delivery hurt just as much, if not more than the c-section. Maybe it's because I had a 2nd degree tear and/or because they didn't give me as strong of pain medicine. It was hard to move around for months.
So I don't know...I think my doctor was right when she said, "There's just no good way to get a 7 pound baby out!"
18 mos between labors is the general rule, but there are care providers who will allow for less. You would need to ask around - perhaps check with your local ICAN group.
Re: VBAC exactly 12 months later
My hospital has a 91 percent VBAC success rate and will not let you VBAC less than 15 months post CS.
