Anyone NOT still testing?

It seems like everyone on here is testing daily until their first appointment. Mine isn't until Jan. 21st but I'm scared to test! I took four in three days and I stepped away. I think I'd rather believe and trust the baby is ok unless I'm told otherwise. Anyone else doing the same or am I just crazy?

I ran out of tests so I am done testing. I am still temping every other day though....just in case.

I stopped after my second beta came back, but I had my first u/s yesterday, so I'm definitely beyond testing phase.

I'm not, I never knew other ppl did. Thankfully, we have never had cause for concern about miscarrying and just thought that once pregnant, always pregnant. Hope that doesn't come off snarky, I realize for some this is a legit concern and I am not trying to be insensitive at all!

I stop after I get a positive test. I don't see a reason to keep spending the money - its not like the test can diagnose anything beyond "pregnant" or "not pregnant." Once I get a +, I schedule an appointment and then go to that appointment. You're not alone

I have only taken 1 test. I will probably take another one in a week or 2 if things feel off, but until then....i don't want to stress myself out. I am still in shock that we got our BFP!

I'm not. With my first pregnancy I tested like crazy but with this one I have taken 2 tests, 1 to confirm and a digital just because I wanted to see the word "pregnant" pop up. I do have one more test and I'll take it next week sometime. My first appointment is the 16th.

I did test several times. That being said, I also know that when I had my m/c last time, I still tested positive until the hormones were out of my system. So, I do know that if I test again tomorrow, it doesn't really give me any insight into what is going on in my body.

My appointment isn't until 1/28 so I am going to use my final 4 tests over the course of the month just for peace of mind because this is our first. But that literally means just one a week. It's silly, I know, but since I have them I may as well use them!

I onlytested the one day and probably will again Monday morning since the fertility clinic revised their plan and will now want me to wait to be seen Thurs instead of Mon and Wed. plus hubby leaves for Germany Sun and I'll feel lonely and want to check to reassure myself. I'll continue taking my basal body temp each morning until after that first US on Thurs.

Nice to know I am not alone.

I haven't had any betas done. They aren't doing any bloodwork until my first appointment. I really want to know that the baby is okay but I'm just trying to enjoy it and not stress. I am very much a worrier. But....just two weeks and two days to go!

I'm not testing anymore. The first time I was pg, I tested once or twice a day. But then I had a blighted ovum. So this time, I've told myself that taking a hundred tests doesn't make it more true. So I've stopped.

And I've also run out of wondfo tests. Haha. So I had to stop.

I took a total of 4 tests at home (and tested positive at my doctor's appt). With my m/c my betas were still going up, but slowly. While I love seeing that 2nd line pop up, it's not that reassuring for me. I feel that even if I did have another m/c, the HPT would still show up positive even though I was bleeding.

I understand why other women keep testing, that 2nd line is so beautiful. It's not expensive if you're using cheapies, I still have a handful of wondfo's.

I took one test the day after my missed af that was vaguely positive, took another one two days later that was more strongly positive, took another a couple days later that was definitly positive and then took a digital test on Wednesday. I don't plan on taking anymore as I am pretty positive it is true now!! Plus, those tests are expensive! :-) I have my first appointment on 1/11, so it is going to be a long week!! :-)

Testing isn't going to tell you if something is okay or not. When I had my miscarriage, I still tested positive 10 days after a D&C. It takes time for your levels to go back down and get a neg. HCG level. For some people it can take several weeks. So testing until your u/s or 12 weeks wouldn't necessarily tell you if something is wrong and besides its crazy expensive!!

This exactly. It took a full week after I had stopped bleeding for me to get a negative pregnancy test after my MC. The only reason I have been testing is because I like seeing that second line, but I know it isn't any sort of indicator or a healthy pregnancy, unfortunately.

This, we're all far enough along now that if something was wrong we'd either know about it (bad cramping/bleeding) or, if it was a 'missed' miscarriage, your levels would still likely turn a test positive for some time afterward. And as my pregnancy isn't high risk or from IVF, I likely won't be getting an ultrasound until 20 weeks, my first full prenatal appointment isn't even until the middle of February (12 weeks) and they'll do Doppler for heartbeat then. I'm certainly not wasting money on tests for the next 1-4 months.

I am not testing. I had my first u/s on Wednesday and saw a heartbeat so I decided I'll just enjoy that moment until my next appointment. I think testing could just make me question (darkness of line...) so I'm trying to hold out.

We found out last Sunday the 30th. I took one test and that was it. I have one more test so was going to just use it up either tomorrow or Sunday just to use it but was going to wait a week to see if it turns darker. lol I still have not had any period or blood so figured all should be ok

I'm not testing. I threw up every 1 1/2 to 2 hours yesterday, so I am pretty positive I am pregnant lol. I've also had a migraine all day and cramping. With all of the symptoms that I've been having I'm not worried at this point.

I took my last 3 tests, all positive. My last one had a lighter line so I am not testing anymore. I don't want to worry myslelf over nothing and if something does happen, I at least want these few weeks until my Jan 28th apt.

I've never understood the desire to POAS every day for months. I tested this morning, got the BFP, done. It was the same with my last pregnancy. The one before that I tested three times, but that was because the first two I didn't get a BFP but my period still didn't show up and I started getting symptoms of pregnancy. Then again, I also don't really understand testing before your missed period. Why waste the money and get your hopes up?
