I flew from Houston, TX to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 12/24. I don't know how to post the picture of my feet I took while on stopover en route. They became tree stumps. Elephant feet. Cankles x 100. I am now on a hunt for compression hose/ socks while on this small island for my trip back to US on the 8th. I did all the right things in flight drank TONS of water, walked around every 1.5 hrs, did mini exercises. I'm crossing my fingers compression hose will work, if found , however, I'm afraid to admit that when 28wks preg, flights with 10 hr legs are a no no. On a pleasant note, baby boy seemed to be having fun in there. Or maybe just trying to find a comfy spot like momma. Sigh wish me luck.
Re: Warning to long flight takers
Same thing happened to me - we just flew back from Europe, when I was 30.5 weeks along. The worst is the tight feeling in your legs from there being too much fluid built up. And of course using the airplane bathroom like a million times. They are always SO dirty!
Good luck for the return trip! Aim to get your legs elevated ASAP after the flight.

I have flights on week 31 and week 32. I was worried about this happening but I didn't have any problems with the multiple flights that I took during week 26. I did get very dehydrated though. Maybe that is why i didn't swell? I am sure that it is not good for us either way. Good Luck on your trip!
