Hospital vs Doctor

Today is my visit at Christiana and I'm wondering if its possible to have your doctor not affiliated with the hospital you want to deliver at. If I was to keep my practice that I love but want to deliver at Christiana if I love it there, can I do that? The person who was my doctor with Annabelle didnt even deliver her, it was the on call doctor and my doctor only did the 6 week post appointment so would it be that much of a difference?

That's a good question. Maybe you can ask that on your tour tonight. I don't see why you couldn't but it would be worth asking.

I don't know but I think the answer is no. I've heard a lot of people say they choose their obgyn based on the hospital they deliver at.

That is a good question! Not sure either, but when I had L I did not have any of the doctors from my practice deliver him. I do not even know the doctors name lol! He was a doctor from another practice because the doctor who was on call from my practice was not there that day.

I would think it wouldn't be a big deal but the again I would think more people would do it if it wasnt a big deal. I will definitely ask tonight.
