I know it's so early and things could go wrong, but there's such great sales on summer maternity clothes that I feel like I would rather return things in the event of a m/c than wait and end up paying full price. Am I crazy?
I did order a couple things from Gap and Old Navy. They were so cheap I couldn't resist. I got shirts for $6 and $8 that will be good for summer and one pair of shorts. I think chances are I will be pregnant again even if something goes wrong this time. If I could never carry a pregnancy to term again I doubt that the thing I would be upset about is 30 or 40 bucks I spent on maternity clothes. And I would just give them to my friends.
I was gonna shop the Old Navy sale online but was nervous to buy pants since I haven't been in maternity clothes in over a year. I went to the store and triend some on for size but haven't bought anything yet. Waiting for my SIL to bring my clothes back so I can take inventory. What stores are having sales? I might be tempted to shop a little!
My last pregnancy was in the winter months, so 99% of the maternity clothes I have aren't going to work out for me. I have been looking around, but haven't bought anything yet. I am hesitant. I will probably wait until after my 1st Dr. appointment.
Livian Elizabeth and Alayna Marjorie! On their way to 3!
I haven't, simply because I am so early. But pea in the pod is having an amazing sale right now.. not that I have been looking or anything maybe in a couple of weeks I will start buying things slowly..

Oh no . . . now I have to look at pea in the pod. I love their stuff but it's usually pretty pricey!

Destination maternity/pea in a pod/motherhood has pretty much all summer things for 50% off. DM sells all the of pea in a pod and motherhood lines so you can put things from both stores into the same "shopping bag" and just pay the flat rate shipping once. Pea in a pod jeans are great so I got a pair of jean capris for under $40.
I also got a few things from ON when they were having their 15% off sale.
I bought 2 pairs of full panel jeans, one pair of colored skinny's with a demi panel, and a sleep bra from Gap Maternity over the weekend. They were having a 60% off sale and I think I paid around $50 for everything.
I'm wearing the jeans today and they are soooo much more comfortable than using the belly band, so I may make the switch to maternity pants.
It's tempting, but I'm holding out for a little while. I know it's a little crazy, but I don't want to jinx myself. If I saw a great sale I might buy a top, but probably won't buy pants/shorts until I need them b/c my size might change.

I had not, until I read this post. The I went to Old Navy online and just spent about $75. Everything summer is on sale, so I got some great essentials - and everything was $10 or less!

Do you find Gap maternity to be true to size compared to their regular clothes? I usually like to try on first but have Gap jeans and could order the same size as I have now! I would just like to have a nice quality pair of jeans...the motherhood maternity stuff is not that great...and Old Navy is good but not as nice as Gap!
I bought a few things at Old Navy yesterday because I love maternity pants. I let a woman I work with borrow all of my maternity clothes thinking I wouldn't need them for a while. I'm so annoyed with myself.
Totally gonna do this now! I say, what the heck. If I can buy other baby things, why not clothes? Better to save money now buying clearance than wait til summer in our 3rd tri and spend a ton to find clothes that fit.. I feel like I should go try some on at some stores to see how their brands fit before I buy. I'm only 4' 11" and although I used to be a size 2 or 4, due to TTTC I'm probably in the size 8 range. I just don't know what fits right anymore! Do you think the sales will run a few more days so I have a chance to visit the stores next week?

Not to be a debbie downer, but you probably wouldn't feel that way if it actually were to happen (which I sincerely hope it doesn't). I needed to return/exchange a Bella Band (wrong size) with my first pregnancy, but then I miscarried before I got the chance. I couldn't even *think* about going near the store to return it for months and by the time I did it had been so long that they wouldn't let me (even though it was still sealed in packaging) so I had to re-gift it to a friend. It sucked.
Now, that doesn't mean that it's not worth taking advantage of some amazing deals. But don't count on returning them in a worst case scenario. Buy some staple items that will be good to have with this pregnancy and any future ones, regardless of season.
