Today was my 3rd day trying to get into the walk-in clinic.
I went on New Year's, thinking "everyone is out celebrating with family, so the place will be empty". Wrong. Went in at 1 and they were full for the day. Then I found out they were closing at 4 (instead of 9), so I thought that made sense.
Went again yesterday. They were back to their regular schedule (open til 9) so I figured I'd go in at 1:30, grab a number, come back home and go back after dinner. Wrong again. They were already at capacity.
So I called in at noon today, and they were already full.
Seriously, we must have some super bug going around here because I've never seen that place fill up so early.
Is it just here or are you guys also dealing with some nasty holiday bugs?
Re: Is everyone sick?
// I love you too. //
Yes
We had colds, then stomach bug/flu right before Christmas and we now have a cold again. It's awful, and I feel like crap!
I saw my OB for a checkup yesterday and he told me that nearly everyone he has talked to recently is sick or is just getting over being sick.
My family's dance studio opened back up post holidays last night, and all the parents were telling horror stories about their families being ill during the holidays.
If DD and I wouldn't go stir crazy, I would be mandating a quarantine for the next two months. LOL.
When I took the boys to the peditrician the other day it was PACKED. Whatever the nasty bug was that Jack had came on very quickly and was nasty.
Then, I've heard the stomach bug is going around like crazy so I've been making the boys drink grape juice everyday at lunch to keep our family vomit-free. We'll see if it works because Liam started preschool today and word is that there's a kid already out for a stomach bug.
DS is on day 3 of a fever above 101.
::Passes around SARS masks, hand sanitizer, birth control, tissues, and vodka::
you're also ready for the end of the world!
My sister's family gave it to us.
DH: Aches, headache, congested, and sore throat.
Me: Puking my guts up, migraines, congestion, cough, sore throat.
P: Congested, cough, puking, and 104.8 fever for a few days.
lol @ Tuna!
Finally got into the clinic this morning. Haven't seen the Dr yet but got us a number, so at least I know we're seeing one today. It was so busy, one of the major TV stations was actually on site, interviewing people. Thank goodness I was able to avoid them - we woke up an hour late this morning and I look like a hot mess. lol
