December 2010 Moms

Random Acts of Kindness (and stupid emotions!)

I am apparently crying at everything these days - feeling very overwhelmed about having 2 kids and being 30 weeks pregnant apparently don't mix!

Anyways, I was at Dunkin Donuts this morning and paid for the coffee of the woman behind me in the drive though. I drove away, she honked at me and waved and smiled and I could see her say "thank you."

I burst into tears in the car thinking about how good it made me feel to do something small for someone else. Indifferent WTH lol.

I remember last year (I think it was this board) around Christmastime, a kind December mama walked into Walmart and paid off someone else's lay away.

Anyone else doing any random acts of kindness lately?

This was me, and I did it again this year. It was wonderful :)

In the beginning of December, there was a young girl in front of me holding a large book called "Ways to get free money for college."  So I took it from her and offered to buy it. She was like no no, but I said, "I'm a teacher, I want kids to go to college for as cheap as possible. Save your money."  So as I am buying the book for her, a lady walks up to me and says, "That was such a nice thing to do, let me help you buy the book." She gave me a 20 dollar bill. The book was only 25, so I only spent 5.  And then that made me cry because that lady was so nice!

Yay for random acts of kindness like that lady's and yours!

  • It feels so good to do something for someone else unexpected.  I paid for someone's meal behind me at the wendy's drive thru.

and then my husband and I paid for a woman's meal at olive garden.  she was sitting alone and we asked the server that we wanted to remain anonymous.  She was hugging the server thinking it was them.

i love paying it forward when i can :)
