Sleep easy and pacifier

Apparently we are all getting geared up for some sleep easy!!

I am not quite following what I am suppose to do with the pacifier!  Do I cold turkey stop it?  Only put her to bed with it at the beginning but not when she wakes at night??  Currently DD nurses to sleep with rocking and then I quickly insert it when she is done. She wakes if it falls out within the first 10 or so minutes of going down, after that if it falls out she is ok.  When she wakes at night I have to nurse her back to sleep and don't need the paci.

    What I took from it is do not reinsert it. I'm on night two. We give it to her and of course it's out in mins but we do not put it back in.  Which is hard cause we used to wake up to give it to her in middle of night. But she did good last night.

    Is she good at putting the pacifier in by herself. I know the book said to scatter a bunch around the crib. DS always takes it out and puts it back in so we have about 5 of them scattered around the crib

    We did cold turkey although I probably could have just stopped giving it to him at night when it fell out. I will say that he sleeps through the night great and I love having one less thing to worry about taking with us every where we go.

    she is not good at putting it back in. If yours can put it in themselves and you feel more comfortable using them. Then do that.
