Car seat question.

My husband just bought a new, extendedcab truck. We never had a car seat in his old car, because it was such a piece of crap I didn't feel comfortable with him riding in it. Anyway, the truck does not have a LATCH system...can we put any kind of rearfacing convertible car seat in there? We have a My Ride 65 in my car, but we don't want to spend that much on another one that won't get used very often.

Thanks!!!

Re: Car seat question.

  • you should be able to use any seat and just install with the seatbelt.

Neither of our seats (Britax and Cosco) are installed with the latch system and it's nbd.

This. The fireman that installed mine said that he prefers to install carseats using seatbelts over the latch systems. I don't remember the reason why.

  • I have installed all 3 of our car seats (Graco SnugRide 32, Evenflo Triumph, and Graco Nautilus) in my dad's extended cab truck using the seatbelts. All fit fine and the seat belt gives a great install.
