So LO got a lot of bath toys for Christmas. We only had a few before so I kept them in this little bucket he had with holes in the bottom but now there's way too many to fit! What do you guys use? I've seen the type that go across the tub, the corner nets, and the suction basket things (that looks like whales, etc), so what does everyone prefer? FYI our tub is the one-piece fiberglass kind so no tiles, etc.
Re: How do you store your bath toys?
I don't mean to hijack the post, but what do you use to clean your bath toys? I bleached the tub and toys last week b/c I thought DS had a yeast infection. Now some of the toys feel sticky, so I haven't let DS play with them again.
I don't even use bath toys for DD. She has a blast with a wash cloth and the cup I use to rinse her head.
With DS I had the net thing.
Vinegar is good for disinfecting and probably wouldn't leave stickiness...I feel better using vinegar for anything that goes in DD's mouth.
We have this also. The adhesive strips it came with did not stick to our fiberglass tub even though we followed the installation instructions to a T. DH went out and bought the Command Strips to mount it and so far so good!
We ALSO have the penguin Skip Hop mesh net that suctions to the wall.
Bathtime is LO's favorite, so we've got bath toys out the wazoo!
With the penguin net and frog pod combined, all his toys fit.
this won't work in all tubs but I loved this idea...i wish i could find the picture...
Basically, you take an extendable shower curtain rod and attach it to the far side of the tub (next to the wall). Then using the curtain rings and buckets/baskets with holes in them attach to the rod. This way everything drains right into the tub, no mess. and pretty easy/simple to do.
You could have a basket for toys, a basket for shampoo/wash...etc
