So last night (my 30th birthday, incidentally) as we went to bed I felt a little queasy. I'm nearly a week late for my period (no, I haven't POAS yet 'cause we're visiting my parents and I have a test sitting at home and didn't want to buy another one), so we figured it was the start of nausea from pregnancy. I woke up around 12:30 or 1am to throw up and we figured it was morning sickness. I kept going back to bed and then heading back to the bathroom about 4 more times over the next 3 hours and was amazed that I had just thrown up more in one night than I did in my whole pregnancy with Lily, but they always say that every pregnancy is different. By the time I was finishing throwing up, DH was starting to feel a little queasy (he thought it was sympathy ms) and then he woke up to throw up around 6:30.
Now, in all of this time, we hadn't really worried about Lily. She'd let out a few squeaks and coughs off and on all night, but hadn't really cried or anything. And since it was a later bedtime than usual, I figured her routine was just off and she wasn't sleeping as soundly as usual. Well, when she woke this morning and DH went to get her, he brought her into our room at a run, with her puking on him on the way. He got her in the bath right away and I went to check out the damage. There was puke all.over.the.crib. And some on the floor. She'd clearly been sleeping in it and had thrown up a few times over night. She also had a giant poopsplosion, which is probably what woke her up (at least it was fairly fresh so she wasn't lying in poop and puke all night). I have never felt so guilty in my life, especially when I saw the little red marks around her mouth from her stomach acid burning her skin.
We've all been feeling crummy all day, although Lily's a trooper and was still trying to play and cuddle, but are finally on the mend. Sorry this is so gross.

Re: MOTY (long, tmi)
This!! I'm so sorry, Mama, please don't feel guilty-you didn't know!
Thanks, ladies, but it was stupid that we didn't check. Especially once DH started throwing up, too, so it was clearly a bug.
It's funny, 'cause just a couple of nights ago we were debating with friends of ours about how a video monitor is so unnecessary. Yeah, a video monitor definitely would have helped in this case.
