So are your LOs taking one or two naps a day? A is still doing two solid naps (thank God!) -generally about an hour and a half each. On March first he is moving up to the next room in daycare and they only do one nap a day in the afternoon. I don't know how we are going to get rid of that morning nap. On days I work he has to be up at 5:30 am because I walk out the door at 6 so he is tired. I guess a lot can change in two months but he might be very cranky if he can't sleep until 1 pm!

Re: Naps
My LO takes 1 nap/day. He wakes up around 7, naps at 12 or 1ish depending on the rest of us and would usually sleep around 2-3 hours. then he goes down right at 7.
Once he gets used to it, he'll do great. And you're going to love your LONG afternoon naptime...he sleeps so hard it's more like his nighttime sleep (meaning, I'm not as afraid to be loud, at least in the first hour or two).
Meh, it depends on the day. But for DD, it sort of always has. She's never been a consistent napper.
Lately, though, it seems like 1 nap/day is starting to become more and more common.
J gets up between 5 and 5:30 am, and naps typically from around 11-1.
I would hope your DCP will have some sort of system that will help him adjust.
We just moved to one nap in the last week because N was waking even earlier, resisting nap etc. She wakes between 5:30-6 and naps 11-1 and in bed at 6:30. I just moved her am nap from 10:30 to 11:30 in 15 min increments over a week. We have had a couple two nap days when she has seemed super tired. Her two naps were an hour and her one nap is 2 hours or more (it was an hour the first day but has started to get longer).
I expect it will take a few weeks to fully transition. Daycare is following this new schedule. At some point I hope to move the one nap later to closer to 12 or 12:30 but for now she is already up 5-5.5 hours in the am and I don't want to push her too much.
B used to do one long one at daycare and 2 at home on the weekends. Recently she has started doing just one on the weekends and it is great! It is usually 2-3 hours whereas when she took 2 naps they were only 45 minutes each. I looove the one hour.
Oh and I was worried about her going to 1 at DC too but she had absolutely no problems. Plus the teachers go through the transition with every kid that goes through there so they know better than most how to help them through.
