Another mom with sleep issues

My DS is a nightmare lately. For 2 wks he screamed and cried and woke up several times a night. We took him to the dr because he had a cold and i wanted to make sure he didn't have an ear infection (cold started just a fews day before this) turns out he did..we gave him meds and for a few nights it was great...then it went back to the screaming & crying when we left the room. We now have to lay on his floor and hold his hand for him to fall asleep.

We both work full time and basically don't have any down time or time together for the past month. It's becoming a huge PITA! I'm sleep deprived and resentful.

Any suggestions? He had a night light, a sound machine & a music toy. We have the same routine that we've had for months so nothing has changed. I'm thinking of putting in another night light in hopes that maybe it's the start of night terrors? I refuse to give in and let him sleep in our bed.

He is 27 mos old now. We have tried CIO but it doesn't seem to work. It wires him so it takes longer for him to go to sleep.

Please help...any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!

Molars? Have you tried pain meds?

Are you sure the ear infection is gone? Maybe call for an ear check?

I feel your pain - we have a high maintenance toddler although it is for naps more than nighttime. But she is waking at night because of her molars. Maybe that is it?
