Baby acne

Anyone else dealing with this? Up until K was about 3 weeks old, her skin was clear. She had some dry patches on her face that I used baby lotion on. Now I can't help but think me using the lotion caused this horrible outbreak. But she also has it all over her scalp and her ears, places I never used lotion. And on top of all the acne, she's got some dry patches again. Now all she gets is a warm rag wipe down daily. I have really sensitive skin, so I'm afraid she has inherited that from me. What do you put, if anything, on your LO's face?

    I've heard breastmilk is good for baby acne. I used to put California Baby Calendula lotion on DS's face just for dryness and it never made him breakout.

    A has been breaking out in baby acne the last couple days, I think if it was the lotion it would have happened sooner, as I have been using lotion for a few weeks now. Everything I have read says that it will just clear up on its own. If she still has it on our appt with the pedi on the 17th, I will be asking, Until then I am just leaving it alone.

    Mine has it too; common advice is to just leave it alone, it should clear up within a few weeks to a month. I think it bothers us more than them!

    Breast milk will clear it right up. N had it really bad around 3 weeks old. I use Aveeno lotion  on him as he has inherited my dry and sensitive skin.

    Ellia got acne days after her 1 month appt it not too bad. It was on her cheeks, ears, and the worst of it was on the sides and back of her neck. We didn't do anything special or different than what we had been (no lotion on face and continued baths every 4 days or so). It all cleared up after about 2 weeks or so. shes 8 weeks tomorrow and her skin is back to being all clear and smooth. She's starting to get some more scales inner scalp now and we're just doing a more thorough job of washing her scalp at bath time to prevent the cradle cap from worsening. It's so hard not to pick at it though! But def agree with PP, it bothers us more than them, and try your hardest to leave it alone

    DS just started getting it really bad. We're using a washcloth with warm water for now.

    E has this going on as well.  Some moms at my moms group suggested breast milk.  I just wipe his face down like normal in the morning/night.  Hoping it goes away soon!
