Guys, this literally just happened to us 2 nights ago. DD2 started crying when I put her to bed. This happens every once in a while so I told DD1 the same I usually do "Little Sister is going to cry for a bit, then she'll go to sleep - all right?". Then I kissed her good night and left the room.
Except the crying didn't stop and even started to intensify - and then I heard DD1 join in. I figured she was crying because her sister was crying. Wrong. When I went in, the first thing I noticed was her dresser. She had opened all 3 drawers and pulled hard enough on one that she had brought the whole thing down.
Thankfully, the dresser is set in a way it couldn't have fallen on her, but I thought for sure she had gotten her arm stuck under it, maybe even broken it. Lucky for us, she hadn't and the tears were from being scared.
Still.
That little girl could have very well been my DD, and I wasn't able to hold my tears back after reading the first few lines of that poor woman's story.
I feel so lucky that I get a chance to fix things before something truly horrible happens.
Re: Secure your lo's dresser
I couldn't even make it all the way through the post. My hormones...my emotions...my hormotions?

I need to go get hardware now. I never secure our furniture after we moved.
// I love you too. //

This is horrible and scary. I seriously couldn't handle it. So sad.
