NBR: Forever long Peek-a-boo period!

Ok so I have been on Mirena now for about 5 months our so. It has been great I absolutely love it, on top of that I haven't had a period in almost a year and a half (going of OC, having PCOS, then getting pregnant and then going on Mirena); as long as you don't count the month long period-like thing after the birth of my little one.

Anyway I got my first period since being pregnant and being on Mirena the day after Christmas (Merry Christmas to me, right). Well I am used to my period ranging from 5-7 days and ebbing and flowing..start slow, increase, slow down, appear to stop, come back heavy and then taper off. Well I have gone through about three cycles of this ebbing and flowing over the past 8 days and it just came back again! 

Anyone else experience this, could it be something other than my period...i.e. a miscarriage? Do you think I should call my doctor about this?

    Called the nurses line, apparently this is completely normal (but blah), but to come in if I am still bleeding next week. Hopefully it stops before our trip to FL!

    My period has been all wonky still and I had my LO 7 months ago! Waiting to be normal agian. :)
