Great. I think the stomach bug traumatized DS and potty training :(

So  DH and I were off work for 4 days over New Years and we thought it would be the perfect time to master PT DS1. He totally seems ready. He did great on Saturday and the first part of Sunday, but then he came down with the stomach flu. I wasnt about to change diarrhea underwear all daggone day, especially since he probably didnt have a whole lot of control once he felt the urge, so he was back in diapers. He is feeling better now, but now wont go on the potty. He used to go all the time at DC but refused yesterday. He has no interest in his "special treat" anymore. I am scared he has associated potty training with feeling like $hit. :-(

Has anyone ever dealt with something like this? How did you deal? Did your LO eventually get over it and come around? We are going to switch out his "special treat" with something new, whatever he wants!

    This happened to us. Our DD got the stomach flu and did not want potty for #2. Before she would go all the time either on the potty or with help on the toilet. It took about two weeks and then she was fine. She had been out of diapers for a while so that was not an option. She would try to hold it in and I would have to ask her and go with her to the potty. But like I said she got over it in two weeks. Good luck!
