I'll get the ball rolling on that post.
Where are your babies at? Milestones, stories, whats going on with them?
DD is still not interested in crawling, but she will push herself backwards on her belly for about 5 mins then whine to sit up again. She LOVES to pull herself up, stand, and is starting to get interested in walking! If I let her hold my hands in front of her for balance she walks, she is crazy strong and kind of fast! She even likes chasing the dogs like that. I'm so no ready for this.
Currently she can say "Mama" and is starting to do so for me and just not just kicks. She can also say "Nana" which makes MIL happy, and it's not a word but she yells "BA!" for her sippy cup when she wants water while eating her solids.
Where did my little newborn go ? On the plus side, she's way more fun to interact with now!
Re: May 2012 Babies
DS is the same as yours littlered... no interest at all for crawling... but he loves to stand, although he doesn't pick himself up yet...
He says blahblahblah all the time, and loves to blow raspberries.
We really started solids over this Holiday break, and is now eating fruit and oatmeal in the mornings, a fruit at lunch, and a vegetable at dinner, then a bottle about an hour before bedtime...
They are like full-on babies now! No more infants..crazy!
My LO is rolling all around and getting very close to crawling. She'll do 360 circles and push backwards. Making lots of sounds and is eating lots of new stuff. She definitely is starting to prefer me to anyone else and now reaches for me which is so cute.
DD just started crawling over Christmas break, and now she is into EVERYTHING. You can barely hold onto her anymore because she just wants to go go go. And just this morning, I put her in the PNP while I was getting ready for work (can't leave her alone on the floor by herself now due to the aforementioned crawling), and she grabbed the side of the PNP and stood up. She also got her first tooth over the holidays and is working on a second tooth. So many changes all at once! I miss my cuddly little baby. She turned 8 months old yesterday. Here's my little Grump...
she sure doesn't look like a grump... she is stinkin' cute!!!
Natalie is on fire! She has been crawling for two months, shortly after that she began sitting.
She pulls up on everything and even stood by herself for 10 or so seconds before falling on her hiney.
She shakes her head"no," and says mamamamma and dadadaaaa.
She is starting to feel compassion. I made a pretend sad face the other day and she cried
She loves watching videos of laughing babies on youtube
Still no teeth yet.
awwww.....
Too cute lizby!
I'm loving reading these. It's so cool to see how the babies hit milestones at different ages and in different orders.
DD is so trying to move. She can scoot and roll, but when she gets up on all fours, she rocks then falls. It won't be long until she gets the crawling thing!
She eats veggies, rice cereal and oatmeal, we try the puffs but those stick to her slobbery hands and she can't get them to stay in her mouth LOL
She currently has two teeth (the bottom front) and has been drooling lakes so more are sure to push through any day now.
Such an exciting time, both for them and us
Oh my, Hunter is a maniac! He got his first tooth poking through on the day he turned 6 months, and went from not wanting to crawl, to crawling full force (with great speed I might add) when he was 6 months and 2/3 weeks old. He crawled for 4 days before he started standing on everything, lol! If it is 3 feet off the ground or lower, he can get it, and he wants it!! He will also crawl really fast away from you if I say, "I'm gonna get you!!!!" He loves that game! We call him a bulldozer because he almost purposely crawls over things, even things meant to be barriers, lol! He just plows over them until he clears it!
He has been eating 3 solid (obv. pureed baby food) meals a day since he was 5 months old. He started not being interesting in bottles anymore and only wanted food!
I def have my hands full, especially since I still have morning sickness! Here he is on Christmas and with his fave Christmas gift:
DD is so fun! She will be 8 months tomorrow! She is currently cutting her sixth tooth! it seems like she cuts two at the beginning of every month! not fun for sleeping! lol no crawling yet - rolls both ways tho. no pulling up either, she is very content to just, sit. she babbles a lot - she has this high pitched lil voice sometimes and i swear she is trying to sing. otherwise she has a deeper voice and it's so freaking cute. her new obessession is my earrings (emerald studs), she will literally turn my face to get to them... good thing they are screw backs!
Here she is on Christmas!
I love this post, we all have so many exciting things happening with our LO's!! Cortlan is lots of fun these days. Her laugh is music to my ears, and she loves laughing even when I have no clue what she's laughing at! She has 3 teeth and a 4th about to erupt. 2 on bottom and one already in on top with the 4th coming in next to it. We've been saying for 2 weeks that she'll be crawling anyday but so far she mainly scoots on her bottom and will occasionally crawl backwards for one or two "steps?" She definitely gets the concept and gets on all fours, but isn't quite sure how to move yet. She says Dada (that was first) and Nanana but no mama yet
For those of you who read my previous post I am super happy to announce that after about a week, she is successfully sleeping in her crib now through the night. Naps are a different story, I dont know why but she simply does NOT want to nap in her crib. She naps in a crib at daycare though for the last two months so I cant figure that one out. Here's 2 recent pics from our holidays:
Tara
She doesn't like to bear much weight on her legs, so no standing against stuff or pulling herself up yet.
No crawling yet either, but she holds herself up on her hands and can scoot herself backwards a few inches on her belly. She also is able to get a little forward motion by rolling side to side and pusing with her feet, so I think she's headed toward crawling in the next couple of weeks.
She's also an expert roller and wiggler -- I had her strapped to the changing pad on top of the big ottoman in the living room using the attached safety strap. In the time I walked a few feet to get more diapers from the basket and turned back toward the ottoman, she had rolled onto her stomach and wiggled her whole body, shoulders, head, and everything, out from under the safety strap. She was still on her tummy with her legs dangling off the side of the ottoman. Luckily I was able to grab her before she fell, but that was an eye opening experience. I didn't know she could get herself out of the safety belt. Now I keep an eye or hand on her at all times when changing her.
She babbles a lot and seems to be starting to associate some sounds with things like ba for her bottle, although she says it all the time when she doesn't really want her bottle too. She has also started making a panting noise when she looks at the dog, which is hilarious.
Every stage gets more fun, but I have mixed feelings about how fast she us growing. No crawling yet. She can do all the right movements, just not at that same time. She is rolling all over the place and loves to "stand" and jump around. She is also very inquisitive about everything...you can see the wheels turning and she is starting to get frustrated when she cannot reach or get what she wants.
Still no sign of teeth yet, but she absolutely LOVES food. We do mainly finger foods and her she has gotten really good at using her pincer grasp as well as chewing and swallowing. I have yet to find something she will not eat. She also loves talking, babbling, and laughing (new fad is blowing raspberries and spitting) but no real distinguishable words.
He has his two front bottom teeth and loves when I wipe his teeth and gums with the little finger toothbrush.
He has been saying "Mama" for over a month and just last week started saying "gihgih" every time he sees our dog, Guinness. It is the only time he makes that particular sound so I am certain he is trying to say Guinness! It is so cute because he LOVES the dog and will crawl at full speed to chase him around!

Baby boy #2 | due 4.13.15
My LO is rolling all over and will sometimes bring his knees up to almost a crawling position but not quite. I am trying to help him stand but he needs a lot of help.
He will babble 'mama' and 'dada' and all kinds of other sounds. He has a high pitched scream!
If we take a toy away that he likes he will cry and get so mad!
He is eating 3 solid meals per day and really enjoys his food
DD has been crawling since Dec. 12. She pulls up on everything and walks along the couch or coffee table while holding on. I couldn't believe how fast after crawling she was ready to pull herself up and try walking. It was as if she thought "the heck with bruising my knees, I need to learn to walk now!" A big moment came on Christmas when she was walking along the couch and decided to reach out for the coffee table. I thought for sure she would take a tumble but she made it! Then she started walking along the coffee table. She got tired shortly after but it made me think walking is just around the corner!
She loves to "talk" saying baba, mama, dada. I haven't been doing a very good job of giving her solids. I give her some maybe once a day. So far she loves all veggies I've giving her, hates all meats and thinks fruits are just okay. I'm afraid if I give her more solids than my milk supply will go down and I don't have any freezer stash. I hope this doesn't turn into a problem later for us. I wish I knew how to upload a photo of her, I love seeing all your babes.
This is all so wonderful to read!
Connor is a mover and a shaker. I barely get to hold him and God forbid I hold him like the "normal" babay on the hip hold. He has to see and look at everything. No real babbling, we still get consonants and vowels but not ut together, and I think its because he is working so hard the physical stuff. He crawls in circles and backwards and pulls himself up to his knees. He loves to walk, with assistance. Its this cute little march that just makes me smile big! I plays ball a lot, throwing it to me and receiving it back.
He's got two bottom teeth and the two top are poking through. He absorbs everything around him and will stare and stare at whatever he finds fascinating. The changes in him are remarkable!

He loves finger foods and has just started really enjoying eating all sorts of things. Last night he had taco meat and loved it.
He has no desire to talk but none of my kids did young, and has two teeth and is working hard on two more.
