I am 29 DPO, have tested 2 with BFN's. I tested at 23 DPO and 27 DPO. My cycles are usually long, and irregular, 36-45 days on this cycle. When should I retest and when should I call my dr? Thoughts?
1) You know when you ovulated because your chart shows a clear thermal shift. ?In this case, it is *extremely* rare, but it's possible that home pregnancy tests don't work for you and you are pregnant.
2) You are only guessing when you ovulated. ?It is possible that you ovulated later than you thought, or that you didn't ovulate at all. ?In this case, call you doctor on day 60 of your cycle (where day 1 was the first day of your last period).?
Seems I need to clarify. I have been charting, with no clear sign of O, so this month dr. suggested I use an OPK. Saw clear signs of O 29 days ago by way of OPK. I am now on day 45 of my cycle. I tested at 23 DPO and 27 DPO, which would have been cycle days 39 and 43. Since my last two cycles had been 36 days each, I thought it was okay to test at day 39. My longest cycle prior to this one was 41 days, so that was why I tested again on cycle day 43. Now I am on cycle day 45, this is my longest cycle ever, and by way of OPK, I know that I am 29 DPO. Wouldn't a HPK show by now if I was pregnant?
I do have a FF chart...it's pretty whacky if you ask me. How do I post the link to that on here?
so you are charting your temps? And there is no temp shift to indicate O? but you got a positive OPK along the way?
Sorry, but you did not O then. You CAN get a positive OPK and still not O. OPK's don't indicate O, they indicate the LH surge that happens up to 2 days before O... but O may not come after all.
the ONLY way to verify you have O'd, is by seeing a clear sustained temp shift
Thanks for everyone's help! This really cleared up several questions for me! Guess I will wait until CD 60, and if no AF or temp change, I will call dr. I had been suspecting that I wasn't ovulating at all, because since I started charting in May, there has only been twice that there have been any crosshairs on my chart. Thanks again!
Re: Testing, and testing, and retesting?
Well, it seems there are two possibilities here:
1) You know when you ovulated because your chart shows a clear thermal shift. ?In this case, it is *extremely* rare, but it's possible that home pregnancy tests don't work for you and you are pregnant.
2) You are only guessing when you ovulated. ?It is possible that you ovulated later than you thought, or that you didn't ovulate at all. ?In this case, call you doctor on day 60 of your cycle (where day 1 was the first day of your last period).?
if your cycles are usually 36-45 days, why are you testing at 23 and 27? That makes no sense.
call your doctor if you haven't O'd by CD60

wait, I totally read that wrong. 29DPO? Yikes.
do you have a chart to see. If you are getting BFN's, then most likely your chart is off.

Can you link your chart?

I'm not sure how to link my chart, but let's try this...
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/
If this doesn't work, can someone tell me how to do this?
go to Sharing (on the left side)
then go to "Home Page Setup"
on that page there will be a box at the top-ish with a URL address in it. Copy that and paste it here.

whoa. That is clearly an annovulatory cycle. if you get to CD60 without O, then call your doctor.
(if you O before that, then no need. You cycle will then come on it's own)

Ditto. You haven't ovulated yet.
