Hey All,
I really want a perfect name, but as a teacher, I feel like I've seen too many "trends" over the last few years. I always feel badly for the five kids who share the same name or variation of the same name in my classroom. I would also like to honor some family members who are dear to us. I don't want to pick a trendy name and then regret it 20 years later. These are just a few names I'm playing around with....
Thanks for helping! ![]()

Re: Help me create a name from tricky family names...
I don't think you'll regret a lovely family name like Ruth Alice. Just say no to Adalyn, though ? it is definitely trendy and has the highest potential for future regret.
I love your family names for boys. I like:
Seth Ryan
Seth Conrad
Conrad Graham
Graham Selathuel
Baby Name Popularity by State
Elena Ruth would be really pretty. I also love Alice.
From your boy list, I like Elijah, Ryan, Conrad, Graham, and Seth. I think you have a lot of good choices there.
Rainbow Surprise Baby due 05/26/2017
To me, Lynne is boring. But I could get behind it in the mn spot.
Not a fan of Ruth or Alice either, but love Allison. I do love family names though.
Allison Lynne?
I don't care for Barry, Cy or Conrad. But I love Ryan and Graham.
What about Ryan Graham?
We can't wait to meet our Blake Katherine!!
Love Alice!!
From your boy list I like Graham and Seth the best.

Elena Ruth is my first choice. Adalyn is nice, I'd maybe use a different spelling to incorporate Lynne like pp said. Alice/Allison are good for fn. I thought extracting Sela as a girl's name from Selathuel would be cute, but not sure if that would impress your family. Ruth would work as mn for all, but I like Grace or Marie as well.
For boys, Elijah Conrad would be my top choice. Ryan is really nice and so is Graham, but not sure on middle names. Cy sounds like a great nickname, but like something is missing...Cyrus or Cyril maybe?
For the boys, Ryan and Graham seem classic enough to last through trends.
For the girl names, I'm not a huge fan of them for first names, but Lynne is an easy go to middle name that works with almost anything.
