I'm planning my outfit for my husbands birthday party. Its cold here at night but not freezing so I'm going to wear a dress. We're having his party at a nice(r) bar. Maybe hit a few while we are out.
I want to wear this dress

With these boots

The dress is kind of short. Should I wear leggings? If so, what color?

Re: Fashion Advice Needed *Pics*
Ooh I have some that are textured really cute. But they are black. Would that be to contrast? Also brown boots/black tights?
Its weird, its to long for jeans (looks like a dress over jeans) but is to short (IMO for someone of my age to wear w/o some kind of pant)
I actually scored them out thrifting one day. 2$!!! I think I skipped to the register! Real leather and the bottoms were in perfect condition. I've worn them a LOT since I bought them and I really put some miles on them now.
cream tights/leggings?
I feel like black would be too harsh with that outfit (cute btw) and brown would clash with the boots. Textured might not go with the pattern on the dress...
I like the cream tights idea.
Hmmm a plum might be REALLY pretty. Play up the dark purple color with my eye make up.
My mom gave me the dress for Christmas. She paid like 4$ for it at american eagle.
She originally picked it up for me to wear to a really good friends wedding in april. When I told her no way I could wear it to a wedding she was SO confused by the no white rule. I was like "WHAAAAAT how have you lived your whole life and not know this?????"
This. Plum/lavender tights or leggings
Yeah she's a freaking bargain hunter, I love it. She will bring me huge bags of clothes every couple months and she seriously is like "don't give me money, I got all this for like 7$" and its stuff from gap, AE, Hollister, ON.
She's like my personal shopper. I
it!
Confession. She buys us matching outfits still. LOL. Sometimes if we want to mess with my dad/my DH we actually will wear our matching outfits out in public. I'm sure we look crazy but my mama is like one of my best friends. (She still makes me crazy. But I love her)
Another vote for plum/lavender tights. I think the right shade of gray could also work. I don't think black would look good- too harsh with the dress and boots.
ETA I actually think brown could work if it were the same shade as the boots or a shade lighter.
