Looks like today's the day-not exactly how I wanted it but that's how she goes

My water broke last night around midnight. My first thought was "not now" because hubby and i were exhausted and it didn't seem like a good place to be starting a first delivery from.

But I wasn't having any contractions. Went to the hospital, was there for 3 hours, baby was in good shape, so they gave me the okay to go home and gave me something to help me sleep. We slept on and off for several hours which was awesome and I was really hopefully contractions would start kicking in. But no dice. Now its 12 hours later and still no contractions. So It looks like I'll be getting induced. Was really hoping it would happen naturally but I guess that's not the way this cookie is going to crumble. Anyway right now we're just picking up the house and will leave for the hospital in an hour.

Weird to think I'll be coming back with my baby.

I had a similar story except I had to go to the hospital right away and did not get to sleep which made everything more difficult. I was having very frequent contractions but I couldn't feel them and I was not making progress so I ended up with pitocin. No matter what way she comes you will be just as happy in the end. Good luck.
