Well, doctor's office called today - my RCS is scheduled for Monday, January 28. So, yay! I like knowing a date.
But...it's not until 2:30 p.m. Blech.
With my first, the surgery was at like 9 in the morning.
How awful is it to go 8 hours during the day without drinking? I'm thirsty ALL the time. I can't imagine how uncomfortable I'm going to be without being able to drink water after 6:30 a.m. that day.
Someone give me some comforting words! LOL. I'm not scared about being cut open; I'm scared about how dry my mouth is going to be...isn't that silly?
Re: Got my date, but the time...ugh...it's in the afternoon
Mine was also scheduled for 2:30 p.m., with arrival to L&D at 12:30. I sipped on water and even herbal tea up until 10ish. I definitely felt queasy and nervous all morning. It sucks having a late appointment time. I told the anesthesiologist I'd had sips of water, and he just said, "OK." I didn't get to eat until 6 hours after the c/s, by which time it had been at least 24 hrs since I'd last eaten. I was starving!

Maybe try backing off the water intake a week or so before? I know staying hydrated is important, but maybe a slow decline will make that morning easier?
My CSection will be scheduled for the morning and I'm more dreading getting up at 4 am to get to the hospital. lol
