  • Hi and happy new year to you, too. I would say that 2013 can't be much worse than 2012 was for me, but I said that about 2012 and, really, I can't say that it was much of an improvement. Boo on 2012. Yay 2013!

I'm happy to start a new job next week, too!

  • Happy new year back at ya!

Congrats on your new job, Scoop.

I was on-call for NYE (still am, ugh) and so I couldn't do anything fun. We just went to a nice dinner and came home and watched the ball drop on TV. We had a tradition as kids to bang pots and pans with wooden spoons at midnight, so I decided to make my husband do that with me. It was actually a lot of fun! The cats didn't enjoy that aspect very much though lol.

As for us, I'm dealing with insurance crap right now since my insurance provider is now saying that our OOP money for the FET will NOT go toward our OOP max and deductible for the year. I am super pissed about it since I called about six times last year during open enrollment and they assured me it would. I am in a super horrible mood because of the BCPs so I dare the insurance company to keep being idiots. I just dare them.

We go through injects training and sign consents tomorrow morning and I start lupron on Sunday. Hopefully I will get my actual FET date sometime later today.

Happy NY to everyone, I hope 2013 is so much better for everyone. Hugs to anyone who needs them!

  • I decided yesterday that IF has me obsessed. Tongue Tied ALL I can think about is what my options are, how much money it will cost, what the right decision is, will anything I try work anyway, is my endo back with a vengeance, if not why do I have pain having only been off BCP for 2 weeks, should I try to get a job with IF insurance, what places offer it, how long do you have to be employed to get it??? I am driving myself crazy!!

I totally know the feeling. So many negative emotions are involved with IF, and obsessiveness and the "what if" factor is a huge part of it. I really hope that with time you're able to figure out what's next for you and what feels right. I am sending you lots of hugs and support because I totally know what you're talking about, and its debilitating!

  • I layed in Bed and read to ring in 2013 and then the best part of the evening was taking my Humira shot at 1am, it stung like a b----tch!

I am hoping that an odd year will bring us some luck. I am looking for a new fitness club which is making me nuts because they are so expensive and I have to spend so much money on IF treatments I cannot spend it elsewhere. DH and I are being tested Monday to see if are Mexican adventures have been a success. I am toying with the idea of doing a natural cycle before our IUI to see if we just get pg and have success so we don't have to pay another 1k for an IUI cycle. • Happy New Year all! I know I should be moving on to the Adoption board, but its hard to leave my home board. I'm still parking here.

So the international move (just the leaving part) is almost done. I fly to the USA in 10 days. The New year's celebration was  hard one for me. My husband is VERY far away right now, and at midnight I only wanted to cry the last tears of 2012 so I could leave them in "last year." I'll let you know how that great plan works out. I am looking forward to a change of scenery. I think it will do me good.  :)

I pray with all my heart that 2013 will bring us all positive changes, whether it answers our prayers or simply pushes us firmly in the direction.

  • Hi ladies!  Hi Rachel!  It is a new year!  Thank goodness!  I am relieved that 2012 is over and 2013 is here as an opportunity to start fresh.

A little update on me - I am getting ready to head out for my long awaiting ODWU in CO on January 23rd.  We had a phone consult months ago with Schoolcraft and scheduled the ODWU so far out because we just needed a cycling break and a fresh take on cycling in the new year.  So, let the new year and new clinic and fresh take on it all as a whole be the answer to our long awaited prayers.  Fx!

    Countless BFN(s)
    Moving to IVF

Where do we go from here?

Moving forward with CCRM in 2013
ODWU revealed blocked tube(s). Lap 2/15.
Bilateral Tubal Ligation. Stage IV Endo.
    Finally some (tough) answers.

1st ultrasound 10/1: TWO beautiful heartbeats!  Overjoyed!

  • It's been a while since I've posted.  Right after the latest attempt at the board revival, we bought a new house, moved, then haven't had internet at the new place, and then work craziness has descended (plus I can't really compose posts at work, although I've checked in).  After two years, we finally met our savings goal of $30k to begin our ivf cycle, which is big news for us.  Over the last three months we've both completed all of our pre-cycle work-ups and we've sent all of our genetic samples to the pgd lab to begin the probe building, and we're just waiting on them to finish before I can start Lupron.  They're estimating another 10 weeks, so we're tentatively planning on a transfer by the end of March.  I'm excited to finally be moving forward, but I'm also freaked the F out and having a hard time controlling my anxiety.  :(
Married 8/2008. IVF with PGD March 2013.

    3/27 ET: transferred 1 embryo, beta 9dp5dt=163, 12dp5dt=639
4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!

Hi ladies!

Fx!

Good luck!  Please keep us posted on how the ODWU goes.

I am so happy for this update!! Great news on all fronts!! Congratulations on your new home!! Have you decided where you are going to cycle? I completely relate to the anxiety and being freaked the f out about cycling-especially with 30k on the line. It is craaaaaaazy and terrifying, but hope keeps us moving forward. Sounds like we will be cycling around about the same time. GL!
