Help name our hypothetical next child.

I'm not KU yet, but we'll be starting to TTC before too long. We have a list of names for both boy and girl and just wanted some input on what others thought of our list so far. We obviously have lots of time to decide, but its been on my mind lately. If it matters our DS is names Wesley Paul.

For girls we like:

Nora

Sarah

Lydia

Paige

Possible middle names are Louise (after DH's grandmother) or Jane. We are open to anything that sounds good though.

For boys:

Emmett

Miles

Silas

Ethan (like this, but don't like how popular it is)

Possible middle name are Eugene ( after dh's dad. I'm not a huge fan of the name though) or Christian (dh's middle name). Again we're open to anything that sounds good.

I'm so tired of Norah. Sorry. I love Sarah and Lydia. Paige isn't terrible, but not my favorite. If I had to pick, I'd go with Sarah.

I hate Emmett. I don't understand the appeal of this name. I don't like Silas or Ethan. I like Miles. That would be my pick from your list.

Nora is pretty, but I feel like it's been popping up a ton.

Paige maybe seems dated? IDK I have just never really understood the appeal.

I like all of your boy choices-- my favorite is Miles though. I think Miles Christian is great sounding.

Nora - I love Nora/Norah! People say it's really popular, but I hear more about it on the board than I do IRL. I love Nora Louise!

Sarah - Probably the most common of your names - and to me, the most boring.

Lydia - Very pretty. It is along the lines of modern trends without being trendy. Lydia Jane is gorgeous!

Paige - I love Paige. I agree with PP that it may be a bit dated, but I still think it's cute. I don't think it goes very well with either of the mns you listed, though.

For boys:

Emmett - It's a great nane, I'm just kind of tired of it.

Miles - Love Miles!

Silas - to me, Silas will always be slightly creepy because of The da Vinci Code

I like Miles in your list. Emmett seems too trendy and Ethan is really popular where I live it seems so I'm kinda over it.
What about any names from your side of the family? I like Christian but not sure of the flow with Miles.

DS's mn, Paul, came from my side. My mom was Paula. Other than that there aren't too many good ones to choose from on my side. I have Grace, which is nice but so popular right now. I also have Marguerite. No boy names that would work though. Pretty much everyone on my dads side is a William or George, but I'm not very close with my dad so I'd rather not use those. I only have Leopoldo or Salvatore on my moms side. Both are NMS. We aren't set on using a family middle name though. We are open to anything that sounds good.
