2nd Trimester

Morning sickness still at week 17??

Do any of you still have some signs of morning sickness?  I thought at about 15-16 weeks, it had gone away.  But I got sick twice this past week- both times after seeing food and I guess I had a negative reaction to the smell.   Not as bad as it used to be and my energy is coming back.  I am just tired of getting sick.  Just thinking I might never get over this!

Hope you all feel ok!

  • It really helps to eat more and snack all day. You could also try taking B6

  • I'm sorry you're still feeling crappy. I've had Hyperemesis (severe morning sickness) with both pregnancies and no matter what degree it is, M/S is no fun. With my first I threw up every day (pretty much all day) until 27 weeks and with this one it was all day every day until about week 18 and then until maybe last week I would throw up every other day or every third day. It seems like I'm finally over it because I can brush my tongue again, yay! Hopefully it won't last until delivery but at least you know that once you deliver it will be gone.

  • I had morning sickness until Week 24.... just some of us do not tolerate our hormone fluctuations very well

  • I'm still getting morning sickness too and I'm at 16 weeks. Usually the only thing that helps me is my sea bands and some crackers. Sorry you're still not feeling great
  • I'm right there with you. I throw up at least 2 times day (sometimes 7 or 8) every day. It's killing me because with my DD, my m/s went away around 14 weeks and didn't come back. Oh well... thank goodness for Zofran.

  • I had severe morning sickness from about 11-15 weeks and ended up in the hospital. It has definitely improved, but it hasn't gone away and I'm at 24 weeks now.

  • I am at 16 weeks and I am still having some morning sickness. I have had constant all day nausea since week 5....though I have noticed I am having some better days...Christmas Day was the best I have felt but then I went back to being nauseas the next day...It's annoying..
  • I'll be 16 weeks in a few days & I still feel it pretty strong some days.  With DS I had it for a full 4.5-5 months. I also can't wait for it to be over - this pg is becoming as rough as my first...

  • Sorry you are going through this still, with my first 2 I had MS for 20 weeks with both pretty severe.  I lived on toast and ginger ale.  This one I have only had slight MS so all pregnancies are different...this is a boy though and 1st 2 were girls.  Here is to hoping you get relief soon!

  • I'm 18 weeks and glad to hear other woman still puking there guts up too. I almost mastered the art of multi tasking while puking. The only thing that really puts a damper on things is I pee my pants every time. I can't tell u how many pairs of undies I go there a day.
