Chewing on crib

Two nights ago when I got DD up from her crib in the am she was standing there chewing on her crib railing. Now this morning she was doing the same thing. The paint is off in three places and she has paint all in her mouth. We need this behavior to stop ASAP so I'm turning to you mommas for hope. I'm going to check that the paint doesn't have lead as that is a first concern. Second, I need some type of railing protection and wondered if anyone had used one for this LO or one past. Lastly, could their be something missing from her diet like iron or is she just teething? Thanks.

DS started doing this several weeks ago. I ordered crib rail covers from Amazon. The Leachco Easy Teether ones. They have been working well so far! I have also heard of people using heavy duty tape over old wash cloths as a less expensive route?

My LO started doing that too . I am worried he will either hit his mouth on it but I am also gonna buy covers for it too .

I saw on Pinterest that some moms were using strips of fleece tied to the rail. Kind of like those no sew blankets. Anyway, I think I'll use that so when it gets gross looking I can just throw it in the washer. Plus, I can get any color fleece.
