S/O baby sizes...pjs

DS fits well in 9 mo clothes.

But we recently bought him size 12 mo footie pjs and they fit him so strange. The body part is way too long but the part for his feet is way too small. His poor little toes are all scrunched up in them.

Where can I buy pjs with no feet? For some reason I just can't seem to find them and Target or Babies R Us.

Do babies even need to wear pjs? I think they are super cute, but are they really needed? Can't I just put him in an outfit that is warm to sleep in?

  • You could start buying 2-piece PJs for him. As long as it's 12 month sizes and up, it's not too hard to find.

I think you just just as easily put him into a comfy outfit like you are saying though.

  • Bbb and childrens place have 1 piece footless zip up pj's. I found some snap ones at target We don't do footie pj's either because they fit dd funny.
She got 2 piece carters ones for Christmas that are nice.

  • Hahah, it's so funny to hear about how different sized and shaped babies are!  DD's one piece jammies are long in her legs but almost too short in the body.

  • Emily's pjs suck too! she can fit 3 months body wise but they arent long enough. The 6 month is to long and she gets so mad when the feet get in the way of her crawling/walkning

right? The 12 month jammies mostly fit L, but are too big in the feet and too short in the sleeves. WTH?

Anyway, we have two piece jammies from bru that don't have feet. We prefer the footed ones, though, so I haven't been keeping much of an eye out. When we are in a pinch, L will wear a onesie and her fleece pants to sleep. I don't think you NEED pajamas. Our house is so cold, though, I feel like it's the best way to keep our LO warm at this point.

  • In the winter we use pajamas, in the summer I usually just put her in a onesie.

DD always wears bigger pajamas, she's in 12M right now. I get the 2 piece pajamas from target with no feet.

  • I got a few 2-piece jammie sets from Target for pretty cheap... We do put her in pajamas but I'm sure it's not necessary if it doesn't work for you ;)

  • Aidens 23 lbs, and 31 inches

He wears size 1218, some 18 month pants for length. And size 4 shoes for his fat little feet.

We are going through our last size 4 box of diapers and its on to 5!

  • I like the feeties for warmth this time of year, but otherwise I prefer two piece PJ's personally. She can wear them longer, because she seemed to outgrow feeties in length before anywhere else. But then, the next size up would be too long, and now that she's standing and walking, this really frustrates her. I like the 2 piece sets from Kohls the best.

  • Ian wears pjs every night. Do you have to put pjs on them? I guess that's up to you...but I'm one who dresses Ian every day even if we're not going anywhere. As for pjs fitting weird, I had that problem too...I think it was jumping bean brand. They were really long, pretty narrow, but the feet were really small. I think he wore them once! I want footed jammies because he snuggles with his blanket as opposed to covering up with it so I don't want him to get cold. And if I do the 2 piece sets and put socks on him, he usually just takes his socks off. I can't seem to find footed jammies that aren't fleece and those aren't always good because it isn't always cold enough for them. I usually just end up putting the 2 piece ones on him and hope he doesn't get too cold. Oh, the other brand that I have a hard time with is Gerber...they tend to be long and lean. Carter's and Old Navy are what I have the most if and what works best for us.
