Headaches?

Happy New Year, everyone!

Just curious if anyone has been experiencing more headaches than usual lately?? I am 20 weeks today and find myself reaching for acetometophin more and more with headaches. They are not terrible, not migranes or anything, just run-of-the-mill headaches.

Just curious...

Here's to a healthy and happy year of OUR BABIES!

Re: Headaches?

  • I had a week of headaches a month ago, then the last two days on and off. Had them with DD too though. I think they are just more common during pregnancy, but watch for other pre-e symptoms though.

  • Yes I have headaches quite often now. Since the beginning they were here and there but now it seems like they are everyday. Sometimes worse then other times. Regular Tylenol rarely works for me so my OB gave me a prescription that really gets rid of them.
  • I had headaches for about a month and a half.  They were not fun.  They stemmed from the back of my head and traveled forward.  My OB said the change in hormones in the 2nd trimester can effect some pregnant women.  I also found out I needed glasses too.
  • I have nasty headaches lately as well. When I was pregnant with DD, I called my doctor asking her what I can do to help the headaches as pain meds were not kicking it. She told me to take a pill of my pain meds with a small glass of a caffeine drink. I still use that drink for this pregnancy. I asked her why it works so well and she said when you have headaches your blood vessels in your brain are small. When you drink some caffeine (which helps open your blood vessels) it counters the problem with headaches.

  • I usually get at least one headache a day! Can't say I will miss them! :
  • Ugh yes! I'm 22 weeks now and not getting them much anymore but once I entered the second tri through probably week 18 or 19 I honestly had a headache every day. Not fun but supposedly normal!
  • Thanks, all! Mine tend to go away with 1.5-2 extra strength Tylenols. I just notice I am getting them every day! I feel better knowing that I am not the only one!

My blood pressure is low so I am not worried about that....yet!

    Have a great night!
