  How can you tell the bullet shots from fire crackers? I swear i heard shots but told myself it was firecrackers, for my own piece of mind I think.

  It's hard to explain the difference in sound via typing. But I was definitely hearing gunshots. idiots.

  There is usually a commercial that runs locally here advertising how it isn't cool to shoot guns in the air.  I don't worry about them in our actual neighborhood, but it is a serious problem in the inner city here.

  The crazy thing is that we live in a normally quiet, peaceful suburb.

  That wouldn't fly most places here. One of my bffs did this last night, and I almost wtf on her fb feed till I realized she wasn't at her house, she was at family and in the middle of nowhere and not just shooting at random. Out neighbors were setting off fireworks, it was pretty cool (and doesn't sound like gunshots).

  There is a young girl that is in critical condition from being hit by a stray bullet last night a few miles from where we were staying. So horrible.
