I'm sorry but isn't Millicent the evil witch from Sleeping Beauty?
Lol! It's Maleficent, but that was my first thought too. "Aurooooraaaa...."
I would stay away because of this association. Normally associations don't bother me, but this does becasue at the prime age when kids are going to be tessed, they are watching Disney movies and will likely make this association.

I actually really love Millicent. I had a Robert Munsch book as a kid called Millicent and the Wind, and I've loved the name ever since. I think it's gorgeous, and I love the NN Mille.
I really like Millie. Millicent took some time for me to come around on but I like it a lot now. We will probably never use it but it's on our top 5 list.
I like Camille though. Also, we are naming our daughter Amelia, and BIL said he would call her Millie. I don't see it, but it's another option I guess?

This is what I thought of! It is Maleficent, but close.
Love it! Maybe because a really cool friend of the family is called Millicent.
I think the Sleeping Beauty association is a bit far-fetched.
LOVE Millie as a stand alone name or as a nickname.
Other names you could get the nn Millie from...
Mildred
Emilia
Amelia
Actually, I love the name Millicent! The NN Millie is cute, too.
ETA: Another option is Mildred/NN Millie, but I still prefer Millicent.

Oh... Amelia could work. My son's names begin with vowel.. Already have O and E covered... Hummm
Thanks for the input!
I like Camille or Amelia - nn Millie.
I also did the Millicent - Maleficent connection too (spelled very different, but sounds too similar for my liking).
