Most annoying gift LO received?

Every toy that DS was given makes noise and/or lights up, except for the stuffed moose. By far, the most annoying is Playskool's Busy Gears and of course, it's R's favorite! I'm guessing the ball-popping elephant will be a close second, but it's still in the box for now, along with the Lettersaurus and Sing-with-me CD player.

Her uncle bought her a doll that giggles nonstop. It is currently turned off. I am also looking at a plastic piggy bank that counts the coins. DD already has 2 other piggy banks. Not sure what I am going to do with this one. It's on the bookshelf in our office right now.

Those light up toys with sounds are a favorite in this house. And I love them too since they keep my kids very entertained. That ball popping elephant was definitely a favorite! I realize I'm way out of the norm liking these toys.

My least favorite toy is the 5ft giraffe that my SIL sent. My kids of course love it but I'm not sure where to put it. The large tiger that came with it is also a favorite, but again I have no space for it.

Gavin received not one but TWO NFL disco dinosaurs, one from my family for the Steelers and one from MIL for the Cowboys. It's a silly plastic dinosaur with lights on his back and when you turn him on the lights flash and he wheels around and in circles, singing the same two lines of some made up disco song over and over and over and over. The same two lines. It's not even a real song and I can't even tell what it's saying. It's cute in theory but the song is soooooooo annoying. Of course G loves his dinos. Everything else I can deal with.

We got a lot of piggy banks too. One big one from some friends for real money, one little one for real money and the plastic coin counting one. We already had two little ones. (The first two were sentimental types and the little one we received as a gift was from my mom's brother who suffers from several mental illnesses. He got it at the dollar tree and spent a lot of time picking it out. It was apparently the highlight of his week. I just couldn't toss it out.) We just put all of the change in the big one and put the others away.

The plastic coin counting one is AWESOME. N loves it and it keeps her entertained for a decent amount of time. I keep finding coins in strange places though.

I have an incredibly high tolerance for annoying toys. If N is entertained I'm happy. We got the laugh and learn puppy and a violet. We already had a violet so we're returning the new one. She loves taking Violet and the L&L pup, plopping them next to her and pressing their paws at the same time...over and over again! LOL

Honestly I love just about everything she was given for Christmas! We asked for kitchen related things b/c we were making her kitchen for her so we got a lot of that stuff, but nothing really made noise except the stand mixer my mom got her but it's not an annoying musical noise, and she loves it. Most everything she got was useful, albeit big (huge space taking items) but useful nonetheless.

P got a baby Einstein story reader and it's soooooo fcking loud!!! Of course, there isn't a volume control on it and I twitch every time he plays with it.

Mine is stupid annoying.

DH and I got LBB a train set. It takes up basically a full corner of his room, but he loves it. It's an "interactive" set, so the trains talk to each other, and say things when they pass through the various stations. Every morning he runs to play with it and push the train through one of the stations over and over again. We told the inlaws we were getting him this specific set, so if they wanted the could get expansion track pieces/stations, or more train cars.

They got him a completely different train set. That he got so excited about and wanted to open right then and there because he loves trains. And so the inlaws helped him open it. The trains don't work on his current set, and now we have 2 train sets, no room, and we can't return the stupid one they got him.

Next time you go visit bring it with you for him to play with and "forget" it there.
