I don't know. It could just be back pain. Typically if you're having back labor it comes and goes. The only way to know if it's something is to wait and see how things pan out. You'll know if you're in active labor.
It's so weird that you posted this, because I'm feeling the same way. I was also induced with DD. Those pitocin contractions come on extremely hard and fast... I don't know what it feels like at the beginnings of natural labor.
I hope it's not labor... I want DS to bake a bit longer and I have so much to finish up at work before he arrives!
I had bad back pain all day the day before I delivered DS1. We were running errands all day and I was miserable. The next morning I woke up to pee and my water broke everywhere. So, it could be something!
I've been having back pain with contractions for a few days now. I called the dr yesterday and was told that it's likely early labor, and could last for a few weeks. Unless contractions start coming in a pattern, they told me to just continue with business as usual. Not comfortable, but I guess it happens!

I had back labor with DS, and it did not come and go... it was constant. The contractions themselves came and went, and I would have chose them over back labor any day.
OP, I'd wait it out longer and try to relieve the tension in other ways. If nothing helps or gets worse, maybe call the on-call nurse/nurse line and see what they think.
Thanks for the replies. I waited about 2 hours and then called. They wanted me to come over right away. I stayed in the hospital overnight but they sent me home at 7:30am because I wasn't progressing. I was 4-5 cm dilated and having contractions every 2-3 minutes. Some were extremely painful and some were just uncomfortable. They sent me home to ride out "prelabor" and told me to call when they're so bad I can't catch my breath/talk. Fun

My back labor with DD was awful. I couldn't breathe or think or move. Sitting hurt.
Hopefully you're moving into more active labor!!
