Hello,
I just had my baby shower today, and I got a ton of clothes for the baby. But I didn't get a lot of the items I had on my registry. My husband and I are trying to figure out what items we should definitely buy to be ready for the baby. So far we have the car seat, base, stroller, baby bed with complete bedding set, about 6 bottles, breastfeeding starter kit, onesies, sleepsacks, blankets, a couple pacifiers, plety of clothes, rocker, bibs, burp rags, wash cloths, bath soap, lotion, safety kit, bath towels and robes, rattles, baby monitor, and teething rings.
I am thinking on the must have list we should buy a few 4 oz bottles to have on hand as most of what we have are 9 0z bottles, breast milk storage bags, butt paste, diapers, baby wipes, bounce set, floor play mat, car seat cover, some sort of winter coat or suit as the baby is coming in Feb, changing table, and dresser. Please let me know if I there is something you think I am missing or something that you used that is not on my list.
Re: Suggestions on what to have when the baby comes
I would definitely get some sort of bouncer or swing. Our swing has a detachable bouncer seat that vibrates. That was a lifesaver! J loved the bouncer. Didn't care too much for the swing, but each baby's different...maybe DS2 will like it!
I actually just made a list about of the best gear for newborns on my blog today Top 25 Must-Have Baby Items on my blog (www.MommyMia Monologues.com). I?m convinced I would have gone crazy during the newborn phase without most of these items. These may not all be "needs" I guess, but each of the items sure helped me a ton. I hope this helps you!
