A little refresher...I got my bfp after an IVF cycle and am now a little over 6 wks. My re doesn't do an u/s until 78 wks and so my appt is next Monday. I had terrible cramping with back pain last night and got a hold of the on call re and explained what's going on. She had me come in this morning for a beta, which came back at 6400. Is that a normal number for this stage? Beta number 2 was two wks ago and was 762 I believe. I know they stop doubling at some point, but it's freaking me out and I'm on pins and needles thinking something is wrong.

Re: freaking myself out
Cograts on your BFP!
I have never had a beta beyond 18 DPO, so I am not help. Just want to wish you lots of luck. And boo on your RE for making you wait until 7-8 weeks for an ultrasound
I know. The pain last night was fairly significant. I am more concerned about my beta numbers. I expected them to be much higher.
I agree, you have to do your best to relax right now. I know it's easier said than done, having experienced spotting and a little bleeding when I first found I was pregnant. Everything ended up turning out just fine with me, and I hope it will be the same for you.
FWIW, I found this link about betas, and your numbers sound totally fine for 6 weeks, so I hope this helps put your mind at ease a little: https://www.baby2see.com/preconception/hcg.html
