Hi guys! I'm Kristin. I am cautiously moving over here... I've had three losses. And now I am pg.

Ahh... A little about me- ds #1- almost four (stop growing up, kid!) (I had him with ex husband) - re-married this past march to an amazing guy- DH is 42, I am 30. We have a rockstar German shepherd too named Dakota who is awesome! We live in upstate NY (Suburb of Rochester). I work in marketing- marketing in the med-tech optics verticle. DH is in law enforcement.

We started trying right away. Two m/c in the spring, then another in August- at almost 10wks. The babys heart stopped beating/stopped growing at 8 wks. i had a d&c. which did not remove everything- so it took about 6wks for the hcg to go down.

We were both pretty devastated. And in nov started trying again after tons of testing, rpl panel, hsg, shg, genetic, andrology, etc, my MD gave me the green light. we took some time to heal physically and emotionally. Some of you may know me from TTCAL (I didn't put it out there about DS bc I didn't want anyone to feel hurt or anything)

ok so I got a bfp on 12/22. First beta was last wed- 223. Then another on fri- 455, and I have my first u/s on fri. I am terrified something bad will happen again. But so excited to be joining you all. Hopefully this is a sticky baby! Although DH is already a parent (he's an awesome step dad to my son and treats him like I imagine he will treat a biological child) - this will be his/our first together. He is over the moon.

Its been quite a roller coaster to say the least. Anyway, I am glad to be here and I hope all of you have a h&h 9 months!

oh and another question: I've been doing bikram yoga, but stopped until after first tri per my Dr's recommendation- but I can return after first tri if all goes well. Do any of you practice yoga? How have you found it to be during pregnancy?

Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope you have an H&H 9 months.

Bikram yoga is typically done in a very hot room--many doctors feel that hot yoga is NOT safe during pregnancy. So personally, I would avoid a bikram practice (or any form of hot room yoga) during pregnancy. Did your doctor realize you were talking about a heated yoga practice? I would definitely clarify this at your next appointment.

I think it is safe & fine to continue to practice (non-heated) yoga, as long as you work with an instructor who is trained to know about appropriate pregnancy modifications. I am personally planning to attend a prenatal yoga class now that I am into my 2nd trimester.
