Oh my goodness! I had my 3rd beta draw today, early this morning, and I finally got a call from the Dr's office... They STILL don't have the results back!!! WTF???? The lab slip was even marked STAT. Losing my sh!t over here...
Anyone got anything to calm me down?
**Update**
So I got the call (God, I'm a nervous wreck!) HCG went up to 576 (16dpo / 4w2d) Doubling time dropped from 27.2 hours all the way down to 40 hours. Trying to convince myself that the more HCG there is, the longer it takes to double, so that makes total sense. I'm half succeeding with that convincing.
Didn't get the progesterone number back yet though, and it buggs the crap out of me. Progesterone dropped to 23.2 on second draw (down from 26.9 on first draw) I know those are OK numbers, but I hate that they're going the wrong way and I REALLY want to know where they're at today. Girrrrrrrrr.
The holidays are the worst time possible to be PgAL!

Re: 3rd Beta Draw...**Update** Got half results
I know the wait is hard! I am thinking lots of good thoughts for you!! In the meantime, check out suri's burn book (hilarious) and also the bloggess posted a funny post about Pinterest too. Do you play words with friends? I'll play you! My name is kristintheterrible

My Ovulation Chart
A 40 hour doubling time is excellent!!! I don't think that a reduction in doubling time means anything at all when the doubling time is still in really good range. And it is true that doubling time slows as a pregnancy progresses, so that seems like a normal change to me.
I hope you get your progesterone level back soon. I know how hard it is to wait for any sliver of information in these early days. I'm thinking about making a paper chain to get me through to my first ultrasound. In the meantime, every twinge is a worry.
Just take it one day at a time, or as a wise friend told me... 5 minutes at a time, if that's what it takes.

sorry you are still waiting for prog. I wouldn't think of it as a drop though... those numbers are close enough to be within the error intrinsic to the test.
And that sounds like a great beta number! Normal doubling times are closer to 48 hours, so 40 hours is great and it doesn't matter that it was 27.2 hrs the first time.
Congrats! Today you are pregnant and the pregnancy is progressing as it should
