Did you end up potty training DS2? Any tips? DS1 is fighting

us and still hasn't gone on potty at all. We started cold turkey

in underwear on Saturday and he's perfectly content peeing

in them. He'll sit on the potty for an hours and then just pre

in underwear the minute we take him off. Sits on potty at

least every 20 minutes. Grrrrrr.

Yes, I did train him. Biggest tip.....wait til he is ready.  My DS had been peeing on command for about 6 months prior to me training him.  If you force it before he is ready it may backfire. Once he is ready and can pee on command (he needs to figure out which muscles to use) then set up a timer to tell him when to go.....it always goes better when something else is telling them instead of you.

He remembers "no peepee or poopoo in pants" and seems to understand the whole potty concept. He's just not bothered by doing it in his pants. We're making the potty fun for him with special treats and books and things. I just feel like he's ready and understands it but is just being stubborn and borderline belligerent.

DS was the same way. We tried but I don't think he was ready. He ended up being almost 4 and finally gave in at daycare because all the other kids his age were already going on the potty. Some kids may get the idea but just not care. DS sure didn't!

God, diapering this kid until nearly 4 makes me want to cry.

He doesn't even like us doing that and throws a fit. He could

sit in poop and pee all day and not care. Such a power

    struggle!

Nope. He'll sit and let out some farts but that's it. We've

been cheering him on for that. We've tried for 6 months now

    with no pee or poop.

i'd keep trying to get him to pee every now and then but dont push training hard core until he is able to do so.  once he does know how to pee on command get him a stool and have daddy show him how to "pee like a man" because they find it to be so much more fun plus you will be less likely to be cleaning pee of the floor and walls.
