Sore nips

This is probably just another "normal" thing, but starting yesterday my nipples became VERY sore.  They were only sore for about a week in my first trimester and have been fine ever since.  I was in shower when I noticed, because the running water made me cry out in pain!  Has anyone else had super sore nipples this late?  Normal?  Or infection or something?

    I would think sore nipples occur, but I have no experience. If you're in that much pain, I would call your nurses line.

    Someone posted an article on the 3rd Tri board yesterday about postpartum care and in the article, she talked about using lanolin for a few weeks leading up to the birth to help condition your nips. From that, it sounds like soar nips might be normal.  Personally, I'd probably call the Dr if it was really bad, but just wait to ask at my next apt if it wasn't too unbearable.

    DS weaned in April 2014
    Taking a break from herbs and just riding the healthy train.  
    Planning medicated cycle end of summer.  FX I get KU before then!!!
