She decided to be a December baby

My baby girl is here and healthy as can be, and latching perfectly. So to start out I had been dilated 2 cm and 60% effaced since 36 weeks. Had contractions and lower back pain from Thursday the 20th until the 26th. Went to ob on 26th and only had dilated 1/2cm and was 70% effaced. Went into full blown labor saturday morning at 3 . Came into l&d and was still at 2 1/2 cm but was 80% effaced with bulging membranes. They hooked me up to machine to monitor contractions, had very painful contractions ever 2 to 3 min. Came back in 45 min. And I was 4 cm and .90% thy admitted me and when doc. Checked me I was 5 cm still 90% he broke my water and I went from 5 o 10 within an hour. During that time I had an epidural that failed and thy tried two more times and it still did not work. My sister and husband were there o enourage me because i was def. not ready to deal with that. It was kind of nice to knw when to push on my own though. Well anyway I pushed 4 sets of 3 and bay was here. About 7 minutes of pushing. I had strep b, and ony got my first dose, but all tests came back good. Baby is perfectly healthy with no problems. She is 6 lbs 6 ounces 19 1/2 inches long. She is so perfect and seems like she isgoing to be a very Nike tempered baby.
