Amala or Tata Harper

I'm treating myself to a new skincare routine but I can't make up my mind. The rejuvenating line by Amala or Tata Harper. They both seem fantastic. A little background. I'm 35 with some lines forming on my forehead (if I crinkle it) but otherwise not bad with the wrinkles. A little dry and extremely rare to breakout. My skin does pretty good with a slathering of coconut oil and some California baby wash but I'm hoping I can step it up.

Re: Amala or Tata Harper

  • Hi changingnames,

Sounds like you're an ideal candidate for the Tata Harper range.  The Amala range is incredibly effective as "corrective" skin care line, but you don't get the fresh, luxurious aromas and textures that TH has.  Like Amala, The Tata Harper line is also very effective in preventing aging, and keeping the skin soft and supple.  You could potentially integrate only the weekly Regenerating Mask, and the daily Serum and Moisturizer combo, to upgrade your routine and get a rejuvenated look. To get the whole "Tata Harper Glow" also use the Regenerating Cleanser, the Hydrating Floral Essence, Replenishing Nutrient Complex and Eye Creme.  I've been using Tata Harper and Amala both for a couple years now and find that for me, certain Amala products are better for me than certain  Tata products and vice versa s I use my faves from each, together. I'm also 30s with good overall skin, but want the maximum results and need good products to get a more radiant glow and smooth texture.. Hope this helps!

  • thanks spiredem- i was really going back and forth. Im kind of wavering on the price- is it really worth it? as far as I can tell we are talking about spending $100 a month (if i add up all the products and divide by 3 or 4 months of use) seems steep. now Im thinking about just starting out with the intelligent nutrients line which is a lot less. Worth it? Am I really going to glow? Where do you order yours? I've been filling my makeup bag with vapour and rms over at spirit beauty lounge

  • problem solved I bought a trial/travel (which I have read can last up to a month if used sparingly) set of Tata Harper's full line. They include something extra I can't remember but for some reason they don't give you eye cream in trial packs nor do they offer samples (weird). I also bought a full size of her eye cream and resurfacing mask and samples of Amala rejuvenating cleanser, serum, and toner.

I figure that should give me some idea of which products I might want to mix and match and convince me on the merit of making such an investment in my skin. I've been using coconut oil and california baby shower wash for a bit now. Ever since I realized the supposedly organic stuff I bought from my Dermatologist's esthitician in the midst of a skin catastrophe was irritating my skin, making it pink and hurting a bit after I applied it. Before that I used a variety of oils I bought myself (Castor, Olive, Coconut, glycerin, sugar to exfoliate, etc) and sometimes a little soap from my baby's stash. I was rarely wearing makeup so it worked for me but when i went to the dermatologist for something unrelated he convinced me to switch. Maybe I should switch dermatologists. Anyhow my husbadn doesn't get it- since my skin looks good now why bother and besides everyone gets old. He totally doesn't get it. LOL. Genetics can only do so much.
