Not sleeping HELP

So now that we have mastered rolling over it has become a huge problem. Normally I can put him in his bed awake and he will put himself to sleep. Now that he can roll over whole rooting he rolls over and then automatically starts crying. After waking up to wear at 1 last night I put him back down and he rolled over and screamed until 230. I am trying to let him CIO a little but it just turns into screaming and me rolling him over ever 5 minutes.

Has anyone else has to deal with this and what did you do?

Re: Not sleeping HELP

  • Once it becomes easier for them to roll, I think they'll just roll back over without thinking about. Ds rolls in both directions, and I still have to roll him over because he gets tired of the same sleeping position.

Right now rolling is a challenge, and I don't think he cares for a challenge in the MOTN!

  • Avery has just started rolling from her back to her tummy so I know I have some more night challenges ahead of us...ugh! Everything I have read says to make sure they are getting all their rolling (or whatever new skill they are mastering) in during the day, so they are less likely to do it at night...so for now, for every one of Avery's wake times, she practices rolling at least ten times.

  • DD was a real pain in the butt when she first started rolling! She would roll to her belly and scream! It was a long week but now she actually prefers sleeping on her tummy. So hopefully when he is more confident in his rolling he will not mind it as much. Not that any of this helps you right now.
