If you're taking any classes, what classes do you think are important, and when in your pregnancy are you taking them? DH and I were talking about it last night, and even though we have time, if we're going to take any classes, I'd want to sign up now to make sure we get a spot!
Skylar Elena and Hollyn Isabella... our two beautiful blessings arrived April 18, 2013!
We took the birthing class last time. It was at the hospital and he wound up passing out and being rushed to the ER! I think classes are out for uslol.

There is really only one type where I live run by the hospitals so I signed up for that. I will say that I phoned in October and the first opening was in January so I would call soon!
Our hospital has three. Birthing, breast feeding, and a class about the first few weeks at home. We took all of them. I would suggest going sooner than later. We were trying to avoid the holidays, but sitting for two to three hours at 24w is much better than 32w IMO. Good luck!

I want to take a class just to prepare myself but DH is more along the lines of "winging it." I'm not sure who will win this one, but the idea of winging it scares the sh!!t out of me!!
I took a breast feeding class but that is it. I have known for quite a while that I was having a c section, otherwise I might have considered a birthing class.
We are definetly taking a newborn care class and I think we are also going to do the birthing class but have not officially decided on that one yet. I plan on signing up 1/1 (so I can use our 2013 flex spending to pay for them!)

Our hospital charges for classes so I am trying to limit the ones we take there. Our pediatrician offers a free full day class of birthing techniques and child care. We were supposed to go today but something came up and we are going Jan 20. A little later then I wanted but still ok. After that I am going to call the hospital to find out what we can take in regards to a hospital tour and what that costs. Hopefully after the free seminar we wont need much else. Our hospital also offers a free 1h class for Mommy's to be the first wednesday of the month. I have that Jan 2 I wanted all my classes done in early to mid Jan so if she comes in feb we are ready and wont have to worry about any of that business. GL!

I actually cancelled my birthing class since we found out we are having a c section also. I've observed one before so I know first hand what goes on.
However a friend of mine who had twins recommended finding a speciality class which I did instead of a traditional birthing class. She took a regular class and said it was kind if a waste since they focused a lot on birth plans which virtually get thrown out the window with multiples. I found a place that offered private classes for the same price as the hospital and the teacher had twins. In my opinion I would try and find something that focuses in multiples since it is very different than birthing a singleton. Good luck!

I'll be delivering at Yale... my main thing is that I want to get over there an get a tour because I haven't even been to the hospital yet, just the medical center for my appts.
As for classes, I'm confused on what I should be looking at since I'm having twins, I don't know what is relevant.
