So for years now my IVF doctor has said that I have a bicornuate uterus.... after losing 4 babies - my doctor sent me to have a hysteroscopy - the doctor doing the hysteroscopy wanted to make absolutely sure that I have a bicornuate because she wasn't convinced - she referred me to have a 3-D ultrasound.
During my ultrasound today... actually within the first minute - they found I have a SEPTUM! A freaking septum! My miscarriages/pProm could of possibly been prevented with the removal of the septum...
I'm writing this post so that anyone with a uterine abnormality is aware that this misdiagnosis can happen FREQUENTLY. Once my septum is removed the chances of me having a successful pregnancy is approximately 80%- 90%!
Please please push for your medical care - the squeeky wheel gets the oil!

My doctor noted a " suspicion of a heart shaped uterus or a possible septum in the midline of the uterus" when she performed my D&E. I have a follow up with a RE next week to look further into this.
