So what were the biggest hits for holiday presents for you? SO? Kids? Biggest losers? Biggest WTFs?
Biggest hits were popcorn maker for me, shower radio for DH, dolls and games for DD, Octonauts and switch n go dinos for DS. Biggest losers were ceramic plates from my sister (they were really, well, ugly) and a big shark for DS that was for 8+. WTF includes animal butt magnet set for DD (seriously) and pickle toothpaste and lip balm for DH from my SIL and brother.

Re: Alrighty, Christmas/holiday gifts -- good, bad, and WTF
Biggest hit for me was a nice digital photo frame so I don't have to keep covering up older pics to display new ones at work. I need these pics to keep my sanity most days. lol Biggest hit for DD1 was a really nice new winter coat as her college has many wind tunnels as she's walking to and from class. For DD2 it was her activity walker. She just loves that thing as she doesn't like crawling. lol
Biggest miss for me was the pancake/cupcake batter pourer from MIL. Biggest miss for DD1 was the Snuggie from DH's grandmother. DD2 didn't really have a miss. DH did really well and all his gifts were hits.
The WTF prize goes to MIL for the gift she gave DD1. It's difficult to describe, but I will try. It's a wood vase (which looks really cool as a vase) that turns into a hat. So the vase is not actually usable, except for fake flowers, but the hat looks incredible stupid and since DD1 is 18 and a freshman in college, she's not really looking for things that make her look stupid. My MIL is really good at getting the WTF gifts.
DD got several WTF gifts -- a rocking horse, and a car that you sit on and push along with your feet. Those would be great. If she could stand, walk, or balance. You know, if she could actually use them at some point in the next year. Both were clearly marked age 2 and up. She's 7 months old now.
Oh, and an expensive porcelain doll that she desperately wants to play with but will surely break immediately. I can't even display it in her room because she gets upset every time she sees it and I won't give it to her to play with. WTF?
She did get a few things she loves. "Santa" got her this soft flower pot thing where each flower plays a different musical note when you touch it. And one of my sisters gave her a baby "laptop" that she has been enjoying.
I think the best Christmas gifts for me were a top I really wanted and a baby carriage charm for my Pandora style bracelet. DH got a fishing rod holder which I am thrilled about as I am tired of his fishing rods falling all over the basement. DS got a Supermarket from my brother and SIL which we love and we got him some cutting food and pots and pans which has been a hit with him.
The biggest loser/WTF: SIL decided to put a jumbo container of cotton candy in our stockings. Somehow the cotton candy didn't make it home for which I am thrilled!
Good? We finally got our new kitchen table!! It seats 10, not 4 like our old table. I got fuzzy pajamas and socks, my favorite standby. The kids were happy with pretty much the majority of what they got, win from grandma, they got tablets (just the inexpensive walmart ones, but fantastic).
WTF goes to sil for E's present, it's some weird Crayola magic putty flower that doesn't really do anything and fell apart in 5 minutes. But sil is attracted to toys like that, usually the ones that fall apart quickly, but seem cool in commercials (like zhu zhu pets or polly pockets).
Bad goes to the book my mom gave me on the evils of wheat and how you can drop 30 lbs in a month by eliminating wheat out of your life. She's always trying to pawn a fad diet off on me on a yearly basis (what makes this gift bad is I've asked her to leave me out of it, I don't want to know. I had an eating disorder as a teen, she was not helpful). Great if it works for her, but ugh. Oh, she's been on it for over a month, no results. Hm.

Good - Lincoln Logs for DS1, sheets and a blanket for DS2, teddies for both of them.
No bad ones.
WTF? A plaque with Lenin's head that my dad got at Memento Park in Budapest. Okay, that was bad as well as WTF.

Mostly good gifts! My faves were: Macy's gift card and awesome clothes (for me from my mother and husband), a much-wanted lantern (husband from me), and wonderful clothes including a pair of bear slippers, denim dungarees and lots more (for baby from all of us).
One WTF: a pair of Hello Kitty fuzzy booties. I love the giver (won't name names!) and I've always loved Hello Kitty since the 1970s growing up in Sri Lanka ... but I'm 40 years old. And fuzzy slippers are not even "ironic" in a jokey way.
Almost all great gifts - DH bought me an espresso maker!!
The one WTF gift was from mil - she gave me a book that is a few editions old and had stains (I hope not mold) on the end pages. I am not sure if it was a re-gift or a dollar store find

DH and I bought ourselves a new big flat screen TV we can mount on the wall so we could watch all the college bowl games in glorious clarity and the girls can't push any of the buttons.
The girls got a Pottery Barn kitchen set - but the real kicker is DH's stepbrother is in construction and got it free from a client who was throwing it away. Woohoo! I thought they would be too young for it but they love it.
Not too much on the bad side - the boys got some ugly sweaters from grandparents but they came with gift receipts so they were able to get something they liked.
