We switched DD to whole cow's milk gradually over the course of a few weeks after she turned one. She gets three meals of solid foods and has still been drinking about five to six six ounce bottles of milk each day too (and we've been working gradually on switching to a sippy).
Tonight, I was reading What To Expect in the First Year and learned that she's apparently only supposed to be getting about 2 cups of milk/day. Wha? Now I feel like an idiot. She's been getting way more than that!
How have you guys handled this? Did you immediately take your LOs down to 2 cups of milk/day just after they turned one? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Re: How much milk is your LO getting?
WCM in addition to that.

Since Alastair is able to get breastmilk, he drinks 3 to 4 10 oz bottles per day again. We have started to mix that with WCM, that is the only reason why I know how much of that he is getting: about 8 to 12 oz (there are approx 2oz of WCM in his bottles). He gets three meals and snacks during the day as well and has a water bottle, which he uses at his leisure.
I will check with his doctor on his 15 months appointment if he is still ok with it, but on the 12 months one he was.
